By my reckoning we will be ball number#27
1, Aberdeen,
6,7 & 8 Bonnyrigg, Brora & Buckie.
9, Celtic
14, Falkirk
17 & 18 Hearts & Hibs
20 Kelty
28 Rangers
30 Spartans unless it's The Spartans then they'll be number 22.
Trip to Dumfries this year perhaps? _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

You mention season 37/38 with regards to FC Edinburgh aka Edinburgh City.
I'm not too sure but I think that the Rovers played Peebles Rovers and Eyemouth United back in the late 1950's/early 1960's in the Scottish Cup.
Maybe they were friendlies? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

You just knew that would be the draw!🫣☹️
Nonetheless, it's winnable. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Ross County v Partick Thistle!
This'll be interesting.(see what I did there?)
You couldn't write the script given the end of last season's play offs🫣 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I thought you might be joking, but Raith Rovers vs Pebbles Rovers, R1, Scottish Cup, 1/2/58 indeed (hammered them 4-0)...Raith Rovers vs Eyemouth United, R1, Scottish Cup, 12/1/63 (and they won 0-2!)
Added the following:
Leith Athletic* (22/1/1949)
Inverness Clachnacuddin* (24/1/1953)
Pebbles Rovers* (1/2/1958)
Eyemouth United* (12/1/1963)
Vale of Leithen* (26/1/1987)
Deveronvale* (1/12/2012)

Are you sure Eyemouth won 2-0 in January 1963? That's the season (1962-63) when we won more games in the cup than the league and didn't win a home league game all season but ended up in the Scottish Cup semi final against Celtic and getting relegated with a record equaling low total of 9 points! _________________ Talk on! My thoughts exactly - and crossed my mind as the worst possible draw - before the draw. Away to a Premiership side with a small support - namely them! But - as you say, it is winnable. They are in bad form. We are in good form. Our chances have never been better! Maybe not the worst possible draw this time after all!
As Craig Levein said live on radio some years back - the OF never get drawn against each other at this stage. Just pure luck - of course! |

Good memory…found another listing of the game and it was indeed 2-0 Raith! |

Apart from the semi at Ibrox (where I got a tour of the inner sanctum, marble staircase, et al) that season left an 11 year old laddie scarred until the promotion in 1966-67 season. In fact at times it still haunts me 😀 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Shame the game won’t be played sooner as Livi are playing terribly just now, 6 game losing streak, last 5 without scoring.
Anyhoo, least we don’t have to worry about any of our players’ taking their eye of the ball in the league by looking forward to the cup. Livingston away on a bitter January afternoon doesn’t quite make it into the ‘glamour’ category! |

With a dozen teams in the draw that you might consider a fairly routine passage to Round 5, along with the entire Premiership offering, I really cant think of a worse draw.
I agree on current form it appears winnable but isn't going to set the pulse racing over the next six weeks. |
