After 10 dragging minutes of injury time, Georgia have held Norway to a draw, nice start to the evening! |

Didnae see that coming at all!
That's some result. Stood firm under all sorts of pressure and got a few breaks to help things along.
You'd like to think that the sport's headlines will pay some attention to this instead of Harry ruddy Kane!π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I'm still a million miles away from having my enthusiasm rekindled enough to go back to Scotland games, but huge credit to Steve Clarke for the job he's doing.
He seems to have the players onside and appears to be coaching them into better, more streetwise internationalists. _________________ Dougie Hill

I loved reading the Spanish sour grapes comments post-match. As a nation, right through their domestic leagues, they are world champions at gamesmanship (I've seen it first hand across their top five divisions) - so for me, there is no higher compliment, back-handed though it may be, for them to complain about how Scottish players managed the game last night |

Dream start to the campaign! I think most folk saw a scrape-through v Cyprus, then glorious failure in injury-time v Spain - but there you go! Two games, five goals, two clean-sheets, great goal-difference, a big dent in Spain's goal-difference and six points! |

Wonderful night at Hampden !
Worth all those afternoons and evenings supporting the team through the many bad times.
The stadium still comes in for criticism but the crowd was rocking from start to finish yesterday. My son and I were reluctant to leave , as many were!
Loath to pick out one player when so many were terrific playing for the cause but Aaron Hickey epitomised the " they shall not pass" mentality.
Plenty to do yet but a great start. |

Oh my giddy aunt!
What's going on here with this team?
Hardly a shot all game and suddenly two in a minute or thereabouts!π²πππ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Wow - thatβs a bit better than a draw - up them too - arrogant play by Norway taking off the lump!!
Robertson - sign up an equivalent Mr Murray.

This team has what previous Scotland sides have lacked - self-belief! A wee bit of that - and well - Bob's your giddy aunt! |

Just occurred to me - probably more people loving this south of the border than north of the border tonight (having heard a little too much about a certain player lately!) |

Watched the game at Styx. We were not yet recovered from celebrating what we thought was a great point when Kenny McLean coolly strokes in the winner!
The place went wild!
Not the greatest performance by a long stretch but Steve Clarke has built up a real
team spirit ( sometimes by keeping surprising loyalty to a core group of players) that
,somehow, that comeback was always possible.
Roll on Tuesday evening at Hampden! |
