Been speculated about ever since Norway failed to qualify for the Euros: Haaland
won't be turning up at Hampden. The surprise was that he played against The Faroes in a friendly. Expect him to turn out for Man City after the international break.
Better chance for us to win by two clear goals tomorrow but if Vinnie was SC he would be telling the team to think twice about that !! 😂 I've not seen how the pots are shaping up ,so it seems very odd to want to be in a lower pot. 🤔

Tongue n cheek but

If your in pot 2 and pot 3 looks on paper to have stronger teams in it you,ll have one of them drawn into your group. If your in pot 3 you,d be placed in what looks like a weaker bunch of sides

Time will tell.
Before the draw for these Euro Qualifiers ,we thought we had done well to be a pot 2 team, but then drew Norway, thought to be the strongest of the pot 3 teams!
Probably , in the event, Norway weren't the strongest opposition we might have faced. ( I reserve the right to edit this and withdraw that last sentence after tomorrow 's game😂)
One thing is fairly sure : if there is a Group of Death , we'll be in it!!

Pot3 looks like the place to be, all things considered. If Italy avoid defeat to Ukraine then the Italians would join the Dutch in Pot3

Currently, as a Pot3 team, we could be looking at a nice wee group like…

Austria
Albania
Scotland
One of the Play Off winners.

Or, if balls don’t fall kindly….

France
Belgium
Scotland
Croatia

Shocked

Looks like Pot3 I think?!

Which is excellent news considering Pot2 now looks like your average Pot3 or even Pot4 of tournaments gone by!

Not winning tonight will hopefully turn out to be a blessing in disguise

Conclusive proof that Zander Clark is not a goalkeeper at international level

Late night at Hampden. Stayed on for the lap of honour, which the squad deserved for the campaign, not yesterday's game.
Some things should be clearer to SC. We are better with three at the back. We don't have squad depth and must hope key members escape injury before and during June.
Could do with a winger, whether it's Ryan Fraser back, Harvey Barnes or A. N. Other.
Roll on 2nd December and the inevitability of drawing Belgium in Pot 2 after all the talk of Pot 3 being the place to be!
Edit: Ah ha, just been informed that Belgium are now in Pot One and Austria down to pot 2.
Can the Czech Republic and Croatia really be in Pot 4, or can they too move up ?

Croatia will be in with ourselves if they qualify.

Matt Elder breaks it down well:
https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/scotland-euro-2024-seeding-confirmed-which-pot-is-scotland-possible-group-opponents-when-is-the-draw-4415312 .

If it plays out as expected, Pot 3 not so bad at all. Belgium in Pot 1.

We are unlikely to get the best possible draw, but equally unlikely to get the worst possible draw.

I can’t get too bothered about which pot Scotland is in. On a bad day we could lose to anyone. On a good day we could get at least a draw against anyone. It’s just 3 games and any country could have a sudden run of form, not a 36-game season where quality and consistency should win out in the end. Having said that I would rather avoid Italy as the Pot 4 team, if they end up there, which is apparently a possibility. Germany are leaking goals like a sieve but I would still rather avoid them with them having home advantage.
