I’m here for the game, pints about a tenner, got sunburned (in Oslo of all places!) Game pretty poor, best player in the world (apparently) going down like a sack o’ tatties and conning ref….Didn’t seem worth it til 5mins from end!
Didn’t play a great game of football and at 0-0 I would have taken it, 1-1 same so to win is just mental
Happy days til I check my bank account |

Aye SB - Scandinavia gets hot in the summer. Longer days than here and less cloud!
Georgia lifts Norway of the foot of the table by beating Cyprus. Erland will have something to celebrate tonight after all! |

Game should never have started, pretty obviously pitch was unplayable
Decent performance against a poor looking Georgia but credit our team for making them look poor
More importantly another 3 points tucked away _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

What a truly bizarre evening! Tonight, despite everything that went on, was about getting 3 more points on the board, job done.
Seems a bit strange writing this as a Scotland fan after 4 qualifying matches but after we book our spot at the finals (which beating Cyprus in next game would almost guarantee) then we need to be staying focused and trying to get there as a Pot 1 or no worse than Pot 2 seed.
For those who don’t know, once the groups are complete, every qualifier gets thrown together in a big league table (6 team groups have their results against bottom side removed) and this decides the seeding…
Currently only ourselves, Portugal, England and France have maximum points… at the end, the five best qualifiers join Germany in Pot 1 (on track but still a tough ask) The six next best make it in to Pot 2… |

Back in the door at two am. What a night!
McGregor 's goal seemed from a different match, maybe a first leg!
What joy, though, when McSauce scored so early in the third period of play. Took the pressure right off because we were better than them all over the pitch.
Haven't a clue why VAR indicated a penalty but they rightly missed as there was more than a single goal between the teams.
A huge step towards qualification! |

Looking at the table, Spain is the odd one out since they have only played 2 matches. Discounting Georgia, which is risky, of course…but it just makes it all a mess and thus…
Spain can reach 21 points max
Norway can reach 16 points max
For either to do that, one team will lose 3 points from their maximum.
Worst case for Scotland is Norway wins out to 16…Spain wins out to 18…and Scotland needs wins over Cyprus and Georgia, or a win and a tie plus a tie-breaker advantage over Norway.
If Spain and Norway tie their match, one win qualifies Scotland as Norway can only reach 14.
If Spain wins over Norway, that leaves 13 max for Norway, so two ties or one win qualifies Scotland…one tie might. |
