I decided to defend my corner, that's all. It's interesting what you say.
I see the need for providing opportunities but do dislike boxticking. My wife would tell you that I stopped watching a tv programme, in a series which I had been enjoying, when one episode contained so many boxticking stereotypes that the whole thread of the series seemed to have been lost!
Anyway, I agree with Castle that it would be extremely unlikely if the female fans rep was ditched unceremoniously. It would be good if the exact composition of the new Board was clarified. John Sim made passing reference to the Chairman having to shoulder the entire load in recent times.

This idea of an advisory committee is somewhere between laughable and frightening.
I shudder to think who it would comprise of - probably the same rabble of rejected politicians and active citizens who, after being hounded out at the ballot box, still manage to find themselves on the boards and committees of various quangos.
Can you imagine Colin Smart pumping a few quid into the club only to be told that how he's proposing to invest it doesn't sufficiently meet the criteria set down by people who wouldn't know the difference between a wing back and a wing nut.

Enough talk of snowflakes and woke-ness. Leave that to the right wing nutters who can’t get enough of GB TV. Tx speaks a lot of sense, and there surely can’t be many snowflakes in Texas on a typical Saturday afternoon. Personal I’m delighted that the Scottish Government is trying to promote the educational and social development of minorities, and those who refer sneeringly to it as ‘box-ticking’ usually do so from the privileged position of being from the majority population.

But back to football, good luck to the new board but remember that for most people phrases like ‘matchday experience’ belong in buzzword bingo. All that ultimately matters for Rovers fans from all backgrounds is entertaining football combined with winning games. That will bring old fans back in their droves, and new ones too.

Good to hear a mention of a ladies' team again. You would hope that some of them might consider coming back now, but understandable if others don't want to. Still - I doubt if any celebrities will be paying to push the estranged / adopted side to the Womens' Premiership anytime soon.

Ultimately, if the Rovers were to launch a new ladies' side regardless, I'm not sure any outside dissidents could do too much about it at this stage?

For what it's worth, I think the street food is a great idea to bring in revenue and aquiant local youngsters with the club. I don't think it was ever intended as a substitute for good, entertaining football - or good results - but just one of many creative additions to helping the finances of the club.

As for the team on the pitch, "competitive" sounds much better than the rhetoric of "scaling down of football operations" hinted at in December 2022.
