Perhaps for the first time in a long time we will have lots to talk about both on and off the pitch.
What players we want out, what players we want in. The redevelopment of the stadium and an improved fan experience for all.
I know the new guys gave a presentation to some the other night, I would love to actually see the plans for the redevelopment, especially the current gym/physio room which, last time I was in was at the end of the corridor (opposite end from changing rooms) and had no windows or access to the stand.
I also assume they already have planning permission in place for the new bar, burger shop and offices. Anyone who has dealt with Fife council planning department will know what a trial that can be.
I think it is great that this new team are coming up with all of these ideas but where will all these people coming for hospitality park? The South car park is often full of fans milling about, the North car park reserved for club officials and if you have thoroughly 'enjoyed' hospitality, the Beveridge park is a long old stagger.
The ideas are great, I'm just not sure they are a good fit for Starks location.
It seems they will have a more proactive team to assist IM and realise that to get the best out of him and his coaching staff they have to relieve some of the burden of constantly trying to find players and now instead he will get offered already analysed options to chose from.
I am also encouraged to hear that ridiculous contracts will be a thing of the past and we will be offering reasonable terms to players who actually want to play for the club rather than see what they can screw out of us.
I am sure the digital marketing will be a positive step for the club given the age we live in. There are revenue streams to be gained from YouTube and TikTok, not to mention reversing our somewhat smudge public persona. As the Raith TV guys will know, this sort of work is time consuming and expensive so I would hope they would reach out to the community for volunteers to assist with all of this.
Couple this with a new website and online shopping portal and, dare I say it, we seem to be finally dragging the club into the 21st century.
Until I have to opportunity to see the short term and long term plans laid out in full, I will say I am cautiously optimistic, so far nothing that has been mooted seems pie in the sky and, if all of this leads to a better matchday experience, community engagement, stadium utilisation, then perhaps, just perhaps, that will lead to the club being ale to match that with a squad of players that can, over time, get us back where we all want to be.

The parking question is a good one, but they seem to be thoughtful on their plans. At least you won’t have to wait on the player facing area changes, as they are going to do those this month! I would expect a release of more details soon, but we’ll just have to see.
The most important element I got from their interview was staging. They aren’t coming in tosplash cash in one big dollop, but instead to spend thoughtfully in a manner that will provide the maximum results, and build upon previous investment. |

All parking is void if the North Stand car park is full of TV trucks.

In the interview Ruaridh Kilgour made it clear the group need to hear from and engage with fans, so you should contact the Club and forward that concern. |

Vinnie, when I was involved with the club in a volunteer capacity, anyone with mobility issues parking in the North carpark were granted access through a gate to the Pratt St side of the North stand. Perhaps this has changed over the years or due to the astro, but easy enough to reinstate I would think. From there, wheelchairs, for example, could go along past the dugouts to the South stand, or down the ramp by the groundsman's room to the main concourse

Cheers RZ but never been granted/pffered access via that route the few times I have managed to park in North Stand car park.At times its been difficult getting past the steward into the car park,its easier going through security at an airport

Not so sure about that nail. This team that’s coming in are seriously talking about a complete overhaul of the way we’ve been doing things. The player facing areas improvements might encourage some players to consider us, but it’s clear the player budget isn’t magically expanding next year. They talk of stages and building/developing, and that will take a few years to fully percolate through to results on a continuing basis.
I’m very optimistic that this team have said the field product isn’t the primary immediate goal, but rather will be a collateral improvement as they work to raise the Club as a whole. Ruaridh said it best when he said we aren’t looking be in the Premiership in a year, but hopes it will be pretty soon. If we can make Starts Park an attractive place next year, we will increase our crowds and revenue, which will potentially allow the next stages to occur faster, and the player budget to increase quicker.
With the planning to get a youth feed to the Club not really underway until season 24-25, next year will likely be another somewhat thin team with little reserve, unfortunately. If we can avoid the injury woes of this year, that won’t be as much of an issue next season, we hope. |

FFS. The new people are just in the door, AB stated " judge us on what we do not what we say". JM stated next season's budget was " competitive with most clubs". If it is used wisely with better research into the background on signing targets, it can only increase our chances of getting more bang for our buck.
Put simply, i'm fed up listening to the negative p*** from some Rovers supporters. Your mates are probably sitting there hoping it goes belly up so they can all have a right good moan. Pathetic!! |
