BOO to you TAM, shame on you Embarassed

Ive wondered why Ive not been happy going to games this season,it isnt the Team performance albeit it isnt good. Its our so called loyal fans!..wherever they are.
Constant Boos and abuse towards the players and McGlynn shocking!

Christ we sound like Pars fans! and we know how loyal they are ? NOT!

John McGlynn was manager of the Year 2010-11, you are trying to tell me he is now that poor that you want rid of him? Get a grip.

Our playing staff has been decimated, our Players wages budget decimated. What do you expect? The guys to build a new team from scratch in one season?

Start being real fans and get behind McGlynn and the team Evil or Very Mad

What absolute nonsense.

The fans haven't been constantly booing and shouting abuse, so that has just completely been made that up for starters. The second part of that statement is equally as ridiculous.

Manager of the year last year does not count for much when the team is rotten. I'm in the keep McGlynn camp, but you can't always use history as a basis for the present.

I agree with you that our squad was decimated, but it's not as if we didn't sign anyone in the summer and then loan a total of 7 other players over the season. Oh, and we signed Casalinouvo recently too.

Well done for chucking in the real fan line too. What is a 'real fan' anyway?

Real Fan

Pretend that what is on offer this season is all good, enjoyable to watch, buy into the "squad decimated" line (not actually true if you sit back and look at it), enjoy 11 men defending corners (actually remove the word defending and replace wth 11 men in the box), admire the skills of Denis Prychynenko, play "guess the defence" at 2pm, admire the quality throw ins and corner kicks ....... etc

Fickle Part time Supporter

Voice your opinion about what is rank rotten week in week out and costing alot of money into the bargain to watch. Describe basic footballing errors, tactics and baffling teeam selections in your feedback on matches and then get shouted down for it by those above.

That's a bit general, probably intentionally so.

Looking at it objectively, both of the parties that you describe are perfectly entitled to the thoughts on our club that they hold and stand by but there is a wheen of folk standing firmly in the middle of the groups that you describe. Folk who maybe aren't too pleased at the points outlined above happening but know that they'll support the club whatever happens.

Some may look down their nose at folk like that and consider them daft but the cold, hard realism of supporting a wee club like ours is that you need to trawl through a fair amount of *Bleep* to get to the good (sometimes great) bits.

Funny how John McG is stating we are now playing an attack minded formation.

Why haven't we been playing this formation for the past four seasons instead of playing (in the main) boring footie?

We played this formation to win the 2nd Division.
Consolidation in the 1st Division maybe called for a more cautious approach.

The bit about the fans 'constantly booing and shouting abuse' is pure fantasy. If it was true it would at least count as atmosphere and there's precious little of that at Starks Park.

I don't agree that the squad was decimated.

Of those who left, only Campbell, Simmons, Tade and Wilson were regulars. They were replaced by Hammill and Graham, neither of whom has been a good signing so far. Tade was irreplaceable, but we've at least tried to replace him now with the signing of Casa. Reece Donaldson came in to replace Wilson and had done reasonably well. That just leaves Campbell to replace, although we've got Davidson, Ellis, Murray and Hill, who can all play centre half. Admittedly none of them are quite as good in the air as Campbell was, but only Murray was as slow as Campbell.

Talk of having to build a new team from scratch is nonsense too, as the majority of the players from last year are still at the club. It should be a duty of the management team to try and bring through youth players to strengthen the squad. Instead we go for loan players. That's just lazy and has fans questioning why we run a youth set up. Half the fun of football is seeing your youth players come through, do well, and go on to better things (hopefully with a transfer fee coming in).

Anyway, hopefully we keep improving and the season doesn't just peter out.

John, I thank you for your efforts so far and am grateful, but be honest, it's time to resign after today's collapse at Livi. You know full well your contract won't be extended at the end of this season, please don't stay and have your largely good legacy (to date) forever tarnished by taking us back down, give the new manager, whoever he may be, time to salvage the season.

BoD, its time to ask John McGlynn to do the honourable thing and resign.

John would have to quit as we can't afford compensation and the new manager would have to be unemployed as we can't afford compensation.

Genuine question here (as I can't think of any at the moment) but who is currently unemployed that we would take to replace McGlynn? Suppose we also have to factor in that the new manager would want to come to a team that he cannot improve (personnel-wise) and knowing that even if he keeps us up, the chances of him having a budget to improve on that next season would be non-existant at best?

I've been a staunch supporter of McGlynn and to a certain extent I suppose I still am but if he were to walk away who could come in and keep us as a Division 1 side?
