I've been quite supportive of McGlynn but I think now it's time is up. |

If the press have nothing better to write about than a poll on an internet forum (which has no connection to the club) then they have serious problems. I know they have already talked about it in the papers, but they shouldnt have.
|
Why shouldn't they? It is an open forum and reporters are always looking for column inches to fill especially midweek if things are slack. In the past they would phone around folk they knew associated with a club (been there on a number of occasions) and get opinions. Nowadays all opinions are just a click away and the press can be ruthless, or not, as is its wont. Everything is up for grabs on the net unless locked down and protected. |
I see what your saying, however its based on a small portion of fans, that is where the press fail to deliver the full story, the last poll was based on 70 votes or so, which is a tiny portion of people who attend the games. If the press were to comment on it thats fine, i have no problem with that, however they should get the facts.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the matter. I just think theres better things the press can be writing about rather than an unofficial forum |

And you think the rest of us aren't supporters, meaning you're the proverbial one man and his dog...? Pathetic |

Do you get joy of being a keyboard warrior? It's no coincidence that most arguments on here involve yourself, can you not just debate properly like the rest of us? For the record I would rather be an intellectual anorak than a keyboard warrior. |

Almost feel sorry for Mcglynn! He gets another striker in plays good football takes him off because he was never going to last everyone singing our praises at half time then attack! If we kept him on and got bet everyone would be saying you could clearly see he wasn't fit etc he should have been off! He is in a no win situation today clearly THIS game we were unlucky 3 chopped off and lost because of a penalty. |

I can see what you mean, however imo Casa never looked like he was struggling, thats why i was shocked to see him go off. I accept that he may have not been fully match fit, but that by no means gives an excuse to what we witnissed after he left the field. I have said that i have based this on the whole season. Yes there was an element of luck in their favour, but thats not why we got beat. Its been the same excuses all year and their growing tired. Again its all my opinion, it may be wrong but its just an opinion. |

Yip can see were your coming from mate!
Mcglynn won't walk for one reason he has bills to pay! the club won't sack him because we cannot afford too! So i'm gonny back him to the hilt because we have no other option |

That's the beauty of opinions - there is no right or wrong (within reason) but I for one agree with you. I have considered myself a McGlynn supporter for a while, but I am at breaking point now and could quite happily not go back this year. I never contemplated shouting anything at Allan Walker today really but if we are all getting treated with the same contempt then why bother? I don't see why we should make an effort to do stuff for the club if the people at the club don't make any effort themselves. But then why should they, they'll still be in the team next week. The small squad doesn't wash as an excuse though - the U19 guys might at least care, and it might get those like Walker and Hamill realising they aren't indespensible. _________________ "I'd much rather be playing Bayern Munich and be competitive for thirty minutes, than murdering Stockport 8-0 in the Freight Paint-Rolling Trophy or whatever it's called." |

Are people forgetting there won't be an abundance of people queuing up to be the manager of Raith Rovers should McGlynn decide to leave.
Get a grip everyone and just accept this is our team, this is our manager and a poll on an unofficial RRFC forum is going to change heehaw. |

Can't see how another poll is going to help our situation.
But I'm not sure that John can keep us up, unless he's prepared to accept that he's not been getting it right on a regular basis and change things and start playing to our strengths.
I'm also not sure that he will be able to bring us back up if we do go down.
If we carry on with McGlynns plan that he's adopted for the last 12 months, we will go down and we will play to crowds below 1000 by the end of the season - and it takes a long time to recover lost fans.
So, the question is "can the club afford to carry on with more of this?"
Its time for John to look at the man in the mirror and ask him to change his ways. |

There are people out there who can motivate and instill a better attitude in the players. Look at how Craig Levein changed attitudes amongst a group of previous non triers. Now, I'm not suggesting there are people out there of Leveins quality - but there are people out there who can motivate. |

Look at this way.... the gaffer had his operating costs cut by some 20% he was probably asked to achieve mid table or better he would probably advise that this may be possible but finances would be requiered to be available for the mid term transfer window with a view to him achieving his goal and building a strong squad for the 2012/13 Season.
Points to consider
The finances within the Club from Jan 2011 were such that the cashflow was depleted and a radical approached was required to rectify this...the BOD and Mangers imo have taken a calculated gamble on this with a view to the cashflow problems righting themselves early 2012
That said, with the cashflow in recovery and some limited money available we find ourselves at present, able to move on from where we were a year ago.
There's still 51 points to play for were on 19, the Pars won it with 70 and Queens finished 5th on 49 with Ross Co 8th on 41. Mid table is still a decent possibilty certainly with our incoming movements with the possiblity of further to follow
Stick with it.....glasses half full....mid table table finish and a strengthened squad for the 2012/13 season _________________ supportrovers@aol.co.uk
