He also gives our defenders a bit more confidence. Why should having a ft keeper matter ? He isn't part of any tactic in the game, his only job is stop the ball crossing the line something perfectly capable for a pt keeper

Thats a photo of you WJ taken last year i think.

Mcgurn is a proper legend!!!!!!! All hail davy

Legend? Really?

I think you use the word to losely there. McGurn is an excellent keeper but most certainly not a legend.

Look at a lot of players who gave great service or performances over a period off time and perhaps they would be classed as legends. Andy Leigh, Willie McNaught, players from the record goalscoring season of the 30's, Gordon Dalziel for his goalscoring record, Jimmy Nicholl as the only manager to win a major cup and get us into Europe, Jim Baxter, Ian Porterfield..............The list can go on.

Not McGurn..............yet

We would have been relegated without that triple save v Ayr. Countless other saves, Dunfermline away, Falkirk at home. Too many to mention.

Davie is a legend, for you to think otherwise is unthinkable. I'm not denying some of these players you mention are legends. For me personally, in the 13 years attending Starks Park, only one player has stood out, and that is Davie.

Now this great news has hit the street I can go off for a good peaceful night's sleep. Laughing
Being serious, this gives us stability between the sticks as long as the legend keeps his fitness and form.
Thanks for signing and sticking with us Davie. Very Happy Very Happy

Its C h r i s t m a s what a week and now Davy McGurn (The Cat) is signed on for two years plus an option of one year ... the best keeper in Scotland and in my opinion one of the greatest keepers in an RRFC jersey ever.

Season ticket will be bought Very Happy

Absolutely ecstatic at this news.
He wins us at least 10 points per season we probably don't deserve.
If he's going to be here for at least another 2 seasons, surely a testimonial must be under consideration.

Season ticket will be bought, Tam?! Now are you sure? Wink

I have to say that Davie has been an absolute pleasure to do business with, and he and I had a great chat last night at Gleneagles before he signed on the dotted line. He has certainly given me personally much food for thought in terms of key attributes of managerial candidates.

And as you know, I like all types of food Laughing Rolling Eyes Cool Embarassed
