13 goals shipped by Cuthbert in the 4 games since McGurn was dropped compared to 8 in the 6 games prior to that. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

In total McGurn conceded 31 goals in 25 matches.
Cuthbert conceded 24 in 10 matches and Laidlaw 16 goals in 7 games. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Grant Murray should be kissing Davie McGurn's feet every time he walks into Stark's Park because, make no mistake, if it wasn't for McGurn we'd have been dumped out of the Scottish Cup by junior league Linlithgow Rose and there's absolutely no way Murray could have survived that.
Apart from being the best keeper in our own league, how many Premiership keepers would you swap him for?
Langfield / Brown at Aberdeen?
Twardzik at Motherwell?
Samson at Kilmarnock?
Fraser at Ross County?
Fox or Gallagher at Partick?
Esson at ICT?
Me neither. _________________ Dougie Hill

Managerial abilities aside Bert is a good guy, its for that reason that I think he's keeping Dave and Cuthbert is for the off.
Not giving Dave a chance to sign off at SP and say goodbye isn't the kind of thing I think he'd do.
Likewise giving Cuthbert a wee run to put himself in the shopwindow is the kind of thing (even though its backfired spectacularly).
I sincerely hope this is whats happening. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

I sincerely hope you're right and he's not planning on giving Davie his chance to say his farewells in front of 20 fans at Dumbarton on Saturday.
The idea of being decent to Cuthbert by giving him the chance to showcase himself to other clubs is all well and good, but not if it leads to a large number of hacked off Rovers fans not renewing season tickets. _________________ Dougie Hill

A Dundee fan on P&B said the evening telegraph linked us to Letheren. I'd far rather we re-signed McGurn. Absolute legend at the club, which is a rare breed. His back catalogue of saves is frankly ridiculous.
Incidently, I'm probably going to fire off an email for the hall of fame thing to suggest McGurn for an induction (if he's not already in). I'd recommend others do the same |

If Murray is seriously giving Cuthbert game time to give him a chance to impress prospective clubs he needs to take a long hard look at himself. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Cuthbert ain't exactly putting himself in the shop window is he?
Anyway, I've said it umpteen times before, McGurn is assured legendary status at the Rovers and he should be in the HoF as soon as possible, _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

You have to take into account the "perry factor" you can't blame Watson for having to play alongside an awful player. |

Legend? Really?
I think you use the word to losely there. McGurn is an excellent keeper but most certainly not a legend.
Look at a lot of players who gave great service or performances over a period off time and perhaps they would be classed as legends. Andy Leigh, Willie McNaught, players from the record goalscoring season of the 30's, Gordon Dalziel for his goalscoring record, Jimmy Nicholl as the only manager to win a major cup and get us into Europe, Jim Baxter, Ian Porterfield..............The list can go on.
Not McGurn..............yet |

My opinion is he is a legend, he's by far the best keeper I've seen in a rovers Jersey im 32 btw, he makes incredible saves week in week out, that treble save vs Ayr the save against the pars, even the saves he's made this year two at Falkirk at least 2-3 at Easter road! He's is a massive reason for us being a solid first division team, he must be good for getting us 12 pts this season that we wouldn't have had with just your average keeper, we won't relise what we had till he's away, I like a lot of my friends will be furious if we don't keep him, |

He also gives our defenders a bit more confidence. Why should having a ft keeper matter ? He isn't part of any tactic in the game, his only job is stop the ball crossing the line something perfectly capable for a pt keeper |
