I'm not too sure but I think that the Rovers played Peebles Rovers and Eyemouth United back in the late 1950's/early 1960's in the Scottish Cup.
Maybe they were friendlies? |
I thought you might be joking, but Raith Rovers vs Pebbles Rovers, R1, Scottish Cup, 1/2/58 indeed (hammered them 4-0)...Raith Rovers vs Eyemouth United, R1, Scottish Cup, 12/1/63 (and they won 0-2!)
Added the following:
Leith Athletic* (22/1/1949)
Inverness Clachnacuddin* (24/1/1953)
Pebbles Rovers* (1/2/1958)
Eyemouth United* (12/1/1963)
Vale of Leithen* (26/1/1987)
Deveronvale* (1/12/2012) |
Our biggest ever win deserves a mention. 10-1 vs. Coldstream 13.02.1954, unless I have missed it somewhere in the list. |

Got it now. It’s a running list I’m keeping on a last time played thread on P&B, and I didn’t have any good data sources before about the mid-80’s for things like Scottish Cup matches. It’s First Team match’s, and I included a few of the now non-League teams…but it’s getting a bit expansive now (like me). There is a Scottish team only rule, and in existence is a grey area (I’m looking at you Edinburgh F.C, at least until we play you soonish). |

Clyde v Aberdeen and Spartans v Hearts are live on BBC.
You know ViaPlay will show the ‘big’ two as they are all about the viewing figures and the profit. You can’t blame them as they, and everyone else knows hundreds of thousands of Old Firm ‘fans’ sit on their arses at home, won’t go and support a local team and barely if ever attend a live match |

Watched some of Clyde v. Aberdeen and it’s the worst footage ever. Camera was soaked with the rain and was like it was being used underwater. They not have covers any more? Couldn’t make out any of the players _________________ Two pints prick |

Going by the alphabetical ordering then numbering of the clubs I think you are pretty much spot on.
But, as you say, it holds no importance. We're oot!☹️ _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
