Kev needs to realise that referees lean towards keepers when involved in 50/50's
He should have blootered the ball and attacking player in equal measure.

So your apportioning blame on Kev for the 2nd goal?

I meant the first goal when Kevin should have done better, if he were more ruthless going for the ball.

Dont think anyones disagreeing that he has to do better at the 1st but the point I was trying to make is there criticism towards Kev for that but none or very little at the comical defending at the 2nd

Wow, what a team effort to get us the three points and a special well done to Lewie Vaughan, he change the game and scored the vital goals.
Whereas goodness knows how many glaring misses we had??

Queens Park had a great plan, they were well organised, very skilful players and were tactically aware. Their German coach has installed a great team.

We were the opposite, we let QP attack and stood back, I dislike the way we defend, the defence looked like they didn't want to tackle?

BUT, when we did attack, we looked dangerous, but we could do with some players willing to take the defenders on, like Aidan Connelly does.

We scored with 3 good goals, and let QP in with two howlers.

Still sitting top equal, isnt too bad.

And a very good crowd today, just below 3000

The usual reasoned post Thomas but pretty sure their coach is dutch - he is indeed Vinnie, I stand corrected - Tam
Hes trying to introduce a game thats alien to not just the championship but scottish football which I dont think will work

You can pass the ball till your blue in the face but it doesn,t win games

From memory, he clears but Keystone Kop defending doesn't show any of the defenders in great light.

I’m struggling to replay it in my head but my recollection is that our defender had a simple nod with his head back to Keeper, do so and the madness of the next 5 seconds doesn’t happen? Can’t criticise the defender as can’t remember who it was Cool

Kev doesn’t need criticising, he must know the magnitude of such errors. My main hope is that he toughens up, gets ‘angry’. Most great goalkeepers are a wee bit ‘mental’, don’t mind taking a kick in the face or wiping out everything in their path if need be, right now he comes across as a bit too nice and a bit too safe

My recollection is the ball into the box wasn,t dealt with by cant remember who,Kev makes a very good save, then I think Watson headed the ball straight to one of their players, next minute its in the net..This may change once I,ve seen the highlights Laughing

Watched the highlights and i,ll stick with my initial recollection on the 2 nd goal

Note that’s three yellows in three league matches for Millen…sub-optimal.

Just watched the highlights, after the third goal, Easton runs back on and deliberately flattens one of their defenders, McPherson I think, totally uncalled for and unjustified. Don't need Rovers player acting the billy big boots, could quite easily got him a red card had they spotted it.

Another 3 points in the bag but I can't help thinking we are riding our luck, defending is pretty poor and not clinical enough up front, should have had that game done and dusted by half time.

Happy with the win, not happy with this, we'll score one more than the opposition, philosophy. It will come back and bite us if we don't improve.

Just watched the highlights and why, just after our second goal, does Easton feel the need to barge into the back of one of the QP players?

Enjoy the euphoria of the winning goal without the impetuous stupidity. If the ref had seen it then could easily have been a red card.

I think having seen the highlights that the sending off was harsh.

It was not a case of last man or clear cut chance.
They had another QP player level about 20 yards away who could have caught our striker.

Happy we got it but had it been the other way around, methinks most would be peeved.

He was 50yds from goal with a player close bye.

Queen’s Park will be in the mix at the end.......along with us hopefully.

This side battles And doesn’t give up. That in itself is a major plus and is testament to the mindset that has been created in the squad.

Lewis deserves all the accolades that comes his way, as do the team.👏👏

Good post Red Zebra and spot on.

But I also think we are getting better and the best is still to come

I agree with you guys wholeheartedly. As hard as it is to build a negative into a recovery performance like yesterday, I have to agree with you guys in that we ought not to have been in that position in the first place.

It was a very frustrating watch having to take in all those missed chances in front of goal, and if I can be unusually critical of IM, I feel he left the crucial substitutions later than I would have liked, nearly costing us the game! However, the operative word there is "nearly". We did win the game and it was in no doubt due to the substitutions. So IM can genuinely justify his decision.

Just gony no leave it that long next time Ian. My auld ticker canny take the strain these days. So, just gony no dae that? Please!

It wasn't a red card for me. They are going on about last man but that's not the law these days, its denying an obvious goal score opportunity. I don't think it was, a lot of ground still to cover and there is a defender possibly getting back.

I agree. 50 yards from goal and another defender nearby who potentially could have caught Hamilton. However, we should have had a red for Easton

Have to agree, having seen highlights never a sending off, and yes what was Easton playing at deliberately pushing Qp player, senseless stuff
