Ooof!
How subtle and disguised is that question?! |
Bernard Manning might have had the answer! |

If Ayr get a couple up by half time this could get very nervy.
It's apparent from Hughes' interview that he has no time for the players and it can only be assumed that they have no time for him. I really can't see that being a situation under which we'll manage to stay up this season. Morale must be absolute rock bottom at the moment. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

It's surely a mentality thing.
I've had a few bosses who didn't rate me, and have slagged me off to higher management.
Didn't stop me working harder to prove him/her wrong, and me eventually getting their job. |

I've always thought that difference between a player and a supporter is that one has football talent and one has not . I am the later but my commitment ,desire to win , enthusiasm etc should be the same as the players . Sadly yogi is correct they do not have it. After two of the goals on Saturday they were throwing themselves to the ground like petulant children . What is that all about ?? Does anyone remember Shaun and Sinky doing that .... not likely so I say to these players get over yourselves and as yogi says stop being Billy big times and show some heart desire and commitment . Bring it Saturday as I will be there to support them |

Would be good to think the PLAYERS actually have time for the punters who pay their wages.......or do they just not give a toss for us or our club either? |

Exactly, Hughes is a stop gap manager who is surely away soon as season ends. Players owe it to the fans, the club that pay their wages and mostly to themselves to make that final big push, even if it ends up in the play offs.
Morale might be low but I don't buy for a second that players will give any less because their manager has slagged them off, if anything they should be wanting to play game of their lives and stick his comments down his thoat.
I just pray that on Saturday and games that might follow that Hughes selects best team available based on football ignoring personal issues if they exist. We really need Bene back in centre of defence, thankfully Matthews will be back too, I'm still hopeful Hibs can help us survive and even if we end up in play offs, there are no world beaters in there, we CAN still save this sorry season |

I couldnt care less what or how the players feel about the manager or how much each gets paid all i care about is the club.On saturday we have 1 last chance to avoid the play offs so the team has to turn up and win.Anything less than that then we are in trouble. If the team turns up and plays 100% and we win but st.mirren go to hibs and also get the result they need then so be it we will take it on the chin.If the team thats been playing the last few months like a sunday amateur team after a night on the drink and poor attitudes turns up then we are down.Ayr will battle to the very end to get the goals they need so we have to fight fire with fire otherwise we are in big trouble. How can they expect the fans to turn up every week if the team doesnt so now is their chance to prove they really do care about us. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

I think St Mirren will get the result they need and probably deserve. I would look forward to the play-offs as I have every confidence in the team winning through thus ending this sorry season on a high. _________________ Championship Winners 2023-24 |

I'll have some of what you've had!
I just can't see past total dejection on Saturday evening followed by similar feeling after first away leg in play offs. That's assuming we don't ship another nap hand against Ayr. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Hopefully we won't suffer a hammering from Ayr and be automatically downed, however I could easily fore see something like the following.
St Midden will draw at Easter Rd.
Dumbarton will lose by 2 goals
We will beat Ayr by 3 goals.
That'd mean the goals that Lewis has scored for Dumbarton would be the difference in the goal difference in their favour. And for the last time this season we'd be a laughing stock. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Don`t know about St Mirren and Dumbarton scores but I can`t see us winning by 3 goals. |
