Would need to be 11 or 12 nil as the goal difference is 10 |
No 5-0 would do it. The gap in goal difference is currently 10. If they win 5-0 their goal difference improves by 5 and ours get worse by 5. Goal difference would then be the same and they would finish above us on goals scored. |

Hardly. We need to at least give ourselves the chance of 8th by winning.
Another Morton performance to set us up for the play-offs. _________________ This is the year we win the Play-offs. |

Since Ayr are now officially relegated they're under no pressure.
We can still avoid the play offs of Hibs can beat st mirren & we can somehow beat Ayr.
Highes should just walk niw & leave Easton to take the last game.
It probably won't matter but I would play -
Penska
Bene, C. Barr, Mvoto, Mchattie
B. Barr, Mathews, Handling, Johnson
McManus & Hardie
Subs
Stewart
Osei
J. Thomson
Davidson
Court
Brennan
Just leave the likes of Skacel & Roberts out & the nail in the coffin for us today was also Vaughan scoring for dumbarton giving them a 2-2 draw & a vital point that keeps them in the Championship!... |

Ayr aren't relegated yet. If they beat us by 5 goals, they go above us. |

Penska can go back to Slovakia after his recent efforts.
Thomson should pack the game in, he's finished.
McHattie is every bit as bad as I remember him at Hearts
Barr is a perma crock - get rid
M'Voto has cost us dear in the last two games and needs dropped.
Skacel - well, we all know he is a waste of a wage
Thompson - a disgusting billy big time attitude which makes Barrie McKay look professional.
Johnston - a pathetic wimp who contributes nothing but can do no wrong in the eyes of our half wit of a manager.
Bobby Barr - supposed to be a winger but never beats his man or gets a cross in.
McManus - about 4 goals all season despite starting nearly every week then tops it off by turning his back on a free kick today. An embarrassment of a forward.
Handling - actually he was okay, he can keep his place. Looked more bothered than some who are under contract here next season.
So just the 10 changes required. A change in manager would also be much appreciated.
I would line up:
Brian
Davidson, u-20 left back, Benedictus. McKay
Matthews, Stevenson, Handling
Stewart, Hardie, Court
I don't even care that we would lose. At least they would put a shift in. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Yep your right Neil, sorry I was just looking at the points total. Let's not think about getting beat 5-0 again.
I can't see mirren being beat by Hibs as I think they will have enough for at least a draw but let's hope, the only issue with that is its out of our hands finishing 8th.
So if any game was a must win then it's next Saturday, it may only take us to 9th but we can take our chance in a play off.
How many games would we play in a play off? |

I don't think Mchatties a bad player, it's just that he's carrying an injury & isn't training every day, I'm sure he's only training once a week & Hughes has taken Bene out of LB as it doesn't give the correct balance.
We don't have another 10players as they're on different contracts, so will need to play what we have.
Johnson is far better in a wide position rather than cm or as a number 10!...
Drop Mvoto then & play -
Gk Cuthbert if fit or Brennan instead of Penska
Davidson, Bene, C. Barr. Mchattie
B. Barr, Handling, Mathews, Johnson
Hardie & Mcmanus
If any of the above don't want to play like Hughes has said then fine but we have put a big squad now seeing as Hughes had let some players like Coustrain leave & I bet he's kicking himself now for that!... |

I couldn't find any comprehensive info on these play-offs. If I'm not wrong, 2nd bottom of the Championship play 4th placed in League 1 for a place in a final tie with the winners of a tie between 2nd and 3rd in League 1. That could be wrong - not much said about it yet.
That's a whole new thread in itself, I guess. |

OK thanks, hadn't noticed those dates was basing it on the fact we tend to play on a Tuesday night usually.
Did notice the 1st leg of the final is Wednesday night as well (if we ever get that far) as back in September when we were still in mid table I bought tickets to go see Iron Maiden and thought that was going to be the same night. |
