Looks unlikely I can make it up but certainly would have if we were given behind the goal as seems to be the case.
Winning the league title is out ultimate aim this season, should that happen then our travelling fans better get ready for paying more than 20quid to sit in similar grounds and watching football of not too much better quality.... |

I'm the opposite. I went on Sunday and will go to Alloa so I definitely won't be at Dundee. If I must give my money to other clubs I'd much rather it went to small part-time clubs like Alloa and East Stirling than a club run like Dundee is. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Fair enough, but I had other things on while Rovers played East Stirlingshire and also have something on when we play Alloa. Anyway, I'm no actually paying to get in, I'm doing the text updates, so I get a media pass. |

20 quid for an adult is scandalous enough, but a tenner each for my 8 year old and 5 year old is beyond a joke. Therefore, I'm sticking to my guns and giving it a miss on Saturday.
However, I wouldn't in any way advocate a boycott. I completely respect anyone who wants to go and support the team. _________________ Dougie Hill

I posted this when the poll was first issued ....
I've said unsure, because it will depend to an extent on how both sides are progressing in the league, and what their form is like at the time. I'm inclined to say I won't be there because of their ripoff prices - not just at the gate, but their food and drink prices too.
We'll see.
Well, based on the present league positions of both teams I'm inclined to say I'm going. The gate price is a small issue (it'll cost me over £30.00 in fuel anyway), but they won't get a penny for their catering. What might stop me going is if we're told we will Not get the stand behind the goals. Cue phone call to SP on Tuesday morning. |

I was informed last night during a Twitter conversation with a Dundee fan that every away support in the league this season has been in the Shankly behind the goals so we should get it too. |

In that case, as the Four Tops might say, "I'll be there".
Thanks |

Its a shame that it has come to this , as it is a mear jaunt up the road . It affects the team not having that loud support and smaller than usual hardcore body of fans ,
however totally understand peoples reasons for not wanting to dig Dundee out of another financial hole they have put themself into through years of living outwith there means and poor accountancy.
The ground is a dump . I.m.o, the scottish football authority should be capping gate feas at a fixed price depending on what division you play in . This may go some way to trying to entice fans back to football matches . Its not the ancer but certainly plays a part in what is going on in football today .
I would have gone but work gets in the way yet again , I would be grudging the gate fee as well . _________________ Only on fan talk can supporters find a negative in a 5-0 win. 🤔 |

The players and management will be professional enough to understand why there will be a smaller support than normal, but that should not detract from their performance whatsoever, they get paid to perform to the best of their abilities!
Edited to add: With the cup tie at Dens on 30 November, I reckon that anyone who wants to just attend one match should go to the cup tie, that way Rovers get 40%, assuming Dundeh don't go into admin before the monies are paid |

Mind just been made for me.....cup tie and not the game on Sat for me,as previously posted RRFC take a percentage of gate receipts for the cup game. |

If I'm heading through from south Glasgow on Saturday (almost certain) is there anyone en route that would like a lift to Dundee and back?
PM me if interested. |

Why anyone who would normally follow the team at away games wouldn't go for the sake of a couple of quid god only knows.
As I have said before its less than the cost of a pint - not a weeks mortage or rent.
I actually doubt that the Rovers support wil be smaller than normal.
I'm expecting a healthy Rovers support and anyone who boycotts for 2 quid is just being stupid. |

The thing is though its not just £2 is it.
I take my young lad and there isnt a parent and child gate, add in the cost of us getting to Dundee and any massively over peiced catering. Fair rnough I can save on the pie and bovril but even so ir a dear day oot at the dee. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |
