It's been mentioned briefly on here about a possible boycott of Dens Park this season due to the adult price of £20 & being housed in the Main Stand so I thought it would be interesting to see how many would actually do this. |

I've said unsure, because it will depend to an extent on how both sides are progressing in the league, and what their form is like at the time. I'm inclined to say I won't be there because of their ripoff prices - not just at the gate, but their food and drink prices too.
We'll see. |

Clubs will continue to take the p!$$ out of us for as long as we're willing to hand over our cash. It's the only language they understand or care about.
I won't be going. _________________ NO FOOTBALL FOR FASCISTS |

I won't be going for various reasons. You've already mentioned the prices and the placement of away fans. On top of this, Dundee today have moved a step closer to bringing in another investor they know nothing about who has promised to throw cash at the club as part of a dream. They continue to get themselves into ridiculous situations like this, while our own club has to work their hardest to cut down our debt. Next thing we know, the begging bowls are out and the fans are on the tele crying "we just want a club to support" |

Getting moved to the crappy stand was the final straw for me.
IF we go there while in the hunt for success then I may consider it, if we are given the stand behind goal again then yes for definite.
While the £20 is indeed a rip off, it isn't exactly the end of the world |

We spoke about these games at a fifes finest committee meeting and the concensus amongst us was to boycott. We will however put it to the members when we meet up and if they want to go then i will run a bus.I doubt if anyone will want to go due to cost and being stuck in that stand. If they put us in the stand behind the goals then some may change their minds. It looks as tho cappielow is being boycotted this season due to how they treat the fans there but we shall see. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Dundee think they're a SPL team therefore charge SPL prices.
I enjoyed going up there when we lost 2-1 and also when we beat them 2-1 in the QF. However, when the prices went up to £20, that was it for me, haven't been back since. Will spend the £20 saved on a wee flutter
Shame, as I quite like the stadium. |

Definite boycott by me. £20 for an adult is bad enough, but a tenner each for my 8 and 6 year olds is absolutely obscene.
That club has always had a nasty streak - does anyone remember New Year's Day 1991 (very early Jimmy Nic era), standing behind the goal getting peed on, then when Dundee scored to go 2-1 up with about 15 mins left they took all the ballboys up the tunnel so whenever the ball went out of play there was loads of time wasted getting it back? _________________ Dougie Hill

I've only been once and was shocked at admission prices . We were seated in the stand behind the goals .
Don't think ill be going , such a shame that the team will be let down by us , but you cannot justify £20 for this level of football . I'd rather have a full stand of fans paying a £10 than an empty stand paying £20 .
Annoying as its only up the road . They should be ashamed of themselves .

I voted yes... because I will be going to Dens this season.
Of course I understand the concerns about the admission prices and the fact that we will be getting papped into that horrendous part of the Main Stand, but think outside the box for a minute.... if we boycott games, who are we hurting more - Dundee or ourselves? Raith Rovers.
Yes, Dundee won't get any cash from the boycotters.... but, by the same token, our own club won't have that extra vocal support that could come in very handy for a game such as Dundee away.
I personally resent paying through the nose to get into away games, but I love Raith Rovers too much to ever think about boycotting away games because the gate prices are too high.
Of course, that's just my opinion.... _________________ Oh no no no Geordie Munro,

I'm afraid if we were to find ourselves challenging for the title (I can but dream) then I would probably have to attend the game in March. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Dundee away in our 2-1 quarter final win was one of the best away days I've had yet I've never been back to Dens since. |

The money doesn't bother me so much, it's the conditions and the treatment we get.
Prime example - last trip there, in the main stand, the stewards shut the gate between 2 seating sections in order to segregate the away fans, even though both sides were not full. This resulted in people not allowed to sit with their mates, families etc. although the stewards did let people through if they claimed to have a girlfriend in the section. Unnecessary provocation by the stewards, soured the atmosphere too. It was as if the stewards were deliberately trying to break up the fans to stop the atmosphere (and it wouldn't surprise me if they had been told to by Dundee FC)
Secondly, if you sit in the top half of the stand you can't see the far side of the pitch because of the roof; but if you sit in the bottom half, you can see faff all if the sun is out.
Thirdly,I 've seen plenty of Rovers defeats despite good vocal backing, so if I'm not there and we lose I'll be comfortable that I wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Ask Turnbull if he'd rather hear me at Dens, or have £20 off me.
I'm not going to try and convince anyone not to go, I just want to make it clear that some of us have had enough (same goes for Morton) _________________ NO FOOTBALL FOR FASCISTS |
