If you were there today, you can hazard a guess as to why we are poorly supported. Only the diehards are prepared to pay £15/£17 for rotten football in freezing conditions. Sensible folk give it a miss.

Sensible folk wouldn't pay a fiver to watch the dross we saw today.

Nevermind only the diehards stumping up 15/17 quid it could be free entry and you'd still only get the diehards turning up. The only thing that will get the casual supporter to turn up is entertining football.

Dear RRFC Board

Please phone Hearts of Midlothian immediately and beg them to take John McGlynn away.

Its relegation if we continue with this inept manager, the continual fall of crowds and a worsening financial position.

Yours

McGlynn for me has 180 minutes left to prove he should remain in the job. If we lose at Somerset, then we'll have been beaten 4 times by a bunch of part timers, no disrespect to them, but that's exactly what the gaffer didnt want, going for a full time squad. Look where that's got us.

If i was in charge and money was no problem (fingers crossed for the lottery on both those points!) then i'd give JM till the Dundee game.

Sad I suppose its only fair togive the manager another few games but come mid-jan things have got to change. I know dear old franky said he did it his way.......but losing managers should not be in that sort of mindset.

I would'nt blame him if things got worse and he refused to go.....he will after-all still have a family to feed and bills to pay.

Today was poor by any standard Crying or Very sad .

From following the Rovers since the 80's ive found it real easy to go from season ticket holder to non attender this season. McGlynns time has come and gone with the Rovers and from the off there are several positions and situations he has failed to address. This isnt the performance from a manager that can learn and progress, this is a manager thats done his badges and only knows one way to play.

Sadly i fear the worst and have done since the team selection and performance at the Dunfermline game last season (i know i sound like a broken record on that point but it was a shocker and sums McGlynn up).

Ive got all the respect in the world for folks still going but i just couldnt stomach watching his teams and tactics and ive definitely not missed it and spent much more constructive saturdays both saving money and nerves.

Heres hoping.

McGlynn has probably earned the chance to turn things around, the problem is he shows no signs of being able to do this. After some encouraging signs against Hamilton we were back to the stereotypical Rovers home performance yesterday. Different personnel but the same old crap.
A lot depends on the board's attitude. If they are happy to accept 2nd division football then let McGlynns contract run its course and he'll take us there no problem at all. If we actually want to be a 1st division side then McGlynn should get another month or so to sort it out and if he can't do that he should be given his jotters.

Im the same been raith fan few good years.Cant see raith improving much to be honest not under john mcglynn he done good job club past but its not looking good for the future at club. His tactics are wrong have been for while some the players he picks arent good.the football is poor the players must be feeling it as well us the fans defo are.Its no wonder lot of the raith fans are not turning up games why should they were not winning were losing too many games which is not good if he stays it looks like 2nd divison football next season for raith.

1. He's had more than enough time to turn things round
2. The Hearts guys made the difference against Hamilton. But I think he's dragging them down to his level.
3. Different personnel - same tactics - same coaching methods - one common link.

For all the moaning some people are doing anoint mcglynn, no one seems to be coming up with a name for a replacement

Will the team be run from fan talk or once mcglynn goes do the team automatically play better with no one in charge?

With respect, thats a fairly daft posting. The replacement ( if required ) can only come from whoever is available at the time that that the position becomes vacant.

Personally, I want McGlynn to still be in charge. But theres only so many times that any employee can make the same mistake and not expect there to be repercussions. He's had enough time - his performance now needs to improve immediatley and dramatically.

Starting with how we defend set pieces. If McGlynn cant see that this is costing us games - then he has a No 2 who should be helping him out.

One of the things I noticed yesterday was that David Smith had suddenly developed a tendency to turn back and lay the ball off to Grant Murray rather than take his man on. It was like he had been possessed by Iain Williamson. Maybe he didn't feel he had the beating of the Livi left back, but the worry is that he was doing this on McGlynns instruction.
