Jim Thorburn, Bobby Reid, Murray McD, Gordon Arthur, Scott Thomson and Dave McGurn are by far the best we've had in that time.

Not forgetting Guido & Raul Ojeda.

I didn't forget them. I just didn't rate them in the same company as those listed. Sorry if they were favourites of yours but that's the problem with comparing subjectively different eras and the players of their time.

This week's FFP quotes him as saying he likes it here and has had four great years.....and that 'hopefully something can be worked out'.

Looking good that we have the best keeper in the SFL keen on staying.

Hopefully we do keep McGurn. He's the best keeper I've seen at the Rovers for a while. He's the best I've ever seen at the Rovers in terms of reflex saves.

We'd have been relegated without him this season.

The best news yet......the greatest keeper in Scotland, The Cat Davie McGurn signs on for another season.

Soooperb news.

PS If the club had any sense they should sign Davie on a minimum two year deal.

On a more serious note there seems to be a fair degree of loyalty towards the Rovers by both a number of players and the manager who also seems to be well liked and respected by a lot of players including those who have departed. Sometimes money isn't always at the forefront especially for those who can go part time. I get a sense of solidarity coming through with some of the comments, e.g. Laurie's and Dave McG.

I feel if it wasn't for Mcgurn we would be prepairing for life in the 2nd this season cumming , delighted that he has signed on for anuther year.

I would like to see laidlaw pushing on this season with some more starts as well , to ensure healthy compatision .

Great news that we've kept McGurn. Best keeper I've seen at Starks. Still remember that save at EEP.
