I can only assume Davie is going at the end of the season as it made no sense to drop him through the week and today. It may well be that the man himself has decided to move on. I certainly hope we've not pushed him out the door due to him being part time.
I hope the boy from Dundee is a better GK than Cuthbert - 7 goals conceded in two games just isn't good enough. By comparison, McGurn has conceded the same in five games and that included Hibs, Hearts, Queens and Falkirk!
Hopefully he gets a farewell outing against Livi. Worrying times ahead if he is moving on as he's saved us so many times! |

Cuthbert conceded a load of games at the start of the season as well. He appears to have been a duff signing. |

7 goals in two games, no Perry to blame either. |

Could (hopefully) just be a case of giving him a run out and giving us a chance to assess him in competitive action since our league position is under no threat. Still hopeful McGurn will be a rovers player next season... |

Mrs McG tweeted that Davie is gutted at being dropped - certainly not injured
so it's Murray's decision to play Cuthbert in preference to Davie _________________ Is there gas in the car?

Another example of our 'first and foremost' manager not having a clue! |

Why is the best keeper by far in this league sitting on the bench gathering dust when he should be on pitch performing miracles. No offence to cuthbert who is a decent keeper but since he has come into the team we have shipped 7 goals.Does the manager at this time of the season really know what keeper he wants. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

So why not drop Watson, Thomson and McKeown instead. They have all been ever presents in all the gubbings. Seems as if Murray has his favourites at the club.
Wish Murray would drop himself I.e. Resign! _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

I have to agree I doesn't look good for Davie or dougie, this could be the last we see of both of them, it has to be there part-time status that's keeping them out the team because I have to say without both this season especially davie we would have been in a lot of bother, davie and dougie both came into the team when we were just horrible, both done extreamly well! Both dropped when they shouldn't have been! now both are on the bench and the 4-0 start again. I hope I'm wrong but it appears both are probably finished at the end of the season, Murray does seem to favour the full-time players which would suggest that we are going 100% full-time next year |

If Hill and McGurn are on the way out then I hope Murray does at least allow them the chance of one final appearance at Stark's Park. |

Maybe we are doing the management a dis-service here? Of course we don't know if this is the whole story.
There's always a chance that McGurn has already turned down an offer for next season from us and Murray is assessing Cubby as 1st choice for next season
Never the less.
In 2015
Mcgurn
Played 15 conceded 15, Won 7, lost 5 Drawn 3
Cuthbert Played 2, LOST 2 conceded 7.
Never mind talk of his leaving, while he's still here McGurn must start again on Saturday against Hearts! _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Just remember that without Davie, the Rose would have caused the shock of the round.
I know no one is ever bigger than the club, but Davie has been arguably the only player worthy of being called a Legend for the last 15 years. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

Murray must realise that he is lucky he is still in a job and a huge part of that is down to one man, Davie McGurn. Why he's treating the most consistent player at our club like this merits an explanation to the fans. It makes no difference if Davie`s part time or full time, he is the best player we have and Murray should be bending over backwards to make sure he is still at Starks for next season. If Murray lets McGurn go the majority of fans who aren't on his case at the moment will be from the start of next season.
Davie must stay and Davie must play. |
