Noticed Davo isn't the most loved guy in here, IF our squad were all fit and playing....who would you choose/like to see as our club captain and what are the reasons behind this? |

The only time I noticed Davidson talking to any of the other players yesterday was to moan about something. He walked out of the tunnel at the start of the match with his head down, didn't acknowledge the fans and sulked his way up to he halfway line. He particularly annoyed me after the semi-final when we walked down the tunnel without picking any of the players up off the ground, without acknoledging the dtanding ovation 8000 fans were giving the team, without even speaking to any of his team mates. He was more concerned that he wasn';t getting to play in a Scottish Cup final.
A captain for me should be encouraging, organising and talking his team through the game, he should be leading by example, he should be respected by fans and players alike and he should be a player who is one of the first names on the teamsheet. That man isn't Iain Davidson. That man is Mark Campbell. |

Couldn't have said it any better. Would make Murray or Ellis vice-captain. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

Excellent post and is just about everyone's opinion rather than the man who can make the call. _________________ Goal Count 10/11

If available I would always choose Sparky as captain. |

i would go for Ellis , if he`s not playing then campbell, giving the captiancy to someone else may actually improve davos game by taking some pressure off him, who knows ? _________________ Don`t stop believin |

I cant understand why some of you raith fans are having a go at Iain davidson he is good player I do agree though with you that he shoudnt be the captain at raith sparky when fit again or grant murray but thats just my opinon who I think the raith captain should be.But then again its not up to us the fans who is captain of the team its up to john mcglynn.

In the absence of Sparky it has to be Laurie. He talks to,shouts at and cajoles everybody like a good captain should. _________________ axis bold as love |

Sparky is the better player but Laurie is probably better captain material.
I seem to recall 1 particular time when Sparky was blowing his top and doing loads of finger pointing at a moment when a cool head and calmness was more needed, particularly as he was as much (if not more) at fault than the players he was laying into (Fahey & Lumsden).
