2. Correct, but by replacing Davo with Walker you are replacing our best man at breaking up plays in midfield with someone who can create chances and link the play between Midfield and attack. I'd swap Simmons with Walker in all honesty as Walker is our best creative outlet in the Centre of Midfield and Davo is our best breakup man in Midfield.

Correct, completely correct.
According to the SFA website, Davidson is due to miss 2 games through suspension. |
Davidson is not the best player at breaking up play. If Murray was playing in midfield he could be. Better at heading, better at tackling and miles better at reading the game than Davo. Davo does make up for it on occassion with his energy and agression though. But that can make him a liability as well. Think people are forgetting that both simmons and walker are quite capable of breaking down play as well. |
Murray can read the game better there is no doubt but i class Murray as a Defender and not a Midfielder. Davo a liability, who was sent off 3 times in 9 games last season? In my opinion Simmons is much mroe of a liability than Davo. As for Walker, yes he can break play up but he is more effective when given freedom to push forward and not have to worry about breaking up play. |
Murray while your right is probably a defender but has been used effectively in the midfield in the past. Walker can still break up play further up the field. Defending doesn't just have to happen when the play gets into our half.

What i can't understand is the unbridled hatred for Davo on this forum, a guy who for most of last season was injured but when he did play, ironically the team looked a little better because he was doing all the dirty jobs if you will that needed done, letting the other players concentrate on their game. Simmons is much more of a liability for this team than Davo will ever be. I wouldn't swap Davo for Simmons in a million years. Davo gives his all when he is on the pitch, he does get carried away at times and i'll be the first to admit it but to me he is more important and needed on the pitch than Carthorse Simmons |
I would take Simmons over Davo any day of the week. While Davo has done well for us in the past and I realise he gives his all for the club he just doesn't cut the mustard at this level unfortunately. No hatred for the guy whatsoever. Simmons is head and shoulders above him in terms of ability...maybe not in attitude though.
Edited to fix daft spelling errors

If you read the Trust's report you'll see that it states that 18 attended the forum but it also invited views from all the fans. It didn't claim the views expressed at the forum represented anything other than the views of the fans who were there.
I had an excellent view of the goals at the Dundee United game and gave my opinion then. I've watched the match video and I haven't changed my opinion. For the third goal I did see a Rovers player haring back to try to intercept the pass to the United player in acres of space in front of goal. The video confirms the Rovers player wasn't Ellis.
This doesn't prove that Ellis is a poor player but does indicate he isn't the paragon of virtue some may think he is. _________________ It's a Mystery!! |

Check where Laurie positions himself relative to Dyer, Goodwillie and the goal. Check also that I wrote that Laurie contributed to losing the three goals: It's a team game. _________________ It's a Mystery!! |
