I hope its done for xmas as turnbull said at the fans meeting that he was interested in doing something like that.Where you can book so many tkts for games so the fans can make a wee saving but still get to the games.I dont know why it wasnt tried over the last 2 games but thats up to the club.

Yet, we can be a decent footballing team that I'd be happy to pay to see. We just dont do it enough.
I'm at the point when I need to seriously think whether I want to spend 17 quid a time, plus petrol, a beer, pie etc to watch this. There is so many better things to spend my cash on.
Never thought I'd say that.............. |

Do you think Fantalk is not representative of the views of the general support?
Polls on things like political views have a far smaller sample percentage.
Our fanbase seems to have slipped below the 1500 mark for games this season. I wonder what the views of the fans who aren't turning up anymore are.

Mcglynn can't change a game. He's got favourites that dont do the business on the field yet continues to play them. He never uses his subs correctly. Hes never tackled the gash midfield issues for years. He used Mcneil instead of McGurn in the big game last year and it cost us. The board put out nothing but negative vibes and wonder where the feel good factor is. McGlynn has started to moan which isnt a great state of affairs as they are all his signings. He says you cant play youth to early then brings in youth from United and Hearts year on year. The £17 entry is ridiculous. The football is atrocious. There's more but its to depressing thinking about it.
Thats my two pence worth as to why i cant be bothered this year. |

Agree completely. Constant negative news and the expectation that no matter what is put out on the pitch, we will just keep paying our money as that is our duty to the club.
Last Saturday my wife and I took our daughter to the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. We were there from about noon til closing. I kept my eye on the Raith score on my phone, but when times are getting tougher and tougher to justify £17 or more if we all go to SP we decided to go to a place which we could be at all day and cost us nothing to get into.
I have said for years, people will pay to see a product worth watching unfortunely when it comes to Scottish football the product is so poor that fans are now turning their backs.
I can't give an answer to the problems at SP but again more POSITIVE news would help. |

But Dundee still is the best supported team in the league. And that despite most of the games being similar to the one you Raith fans witnessed last Saturday.
My point is that the price isn't as relevant as many think, in my opinion. As economists would say, it's fairly inelastic.
That's because so many fans are loyal diehards, and keep on going regardless - at Dundee, hope springs eternal that we'll see a good game. And I think most fans are the same
Meaning that you actually WOULD pay £19 to watch a winning and/or entertaining team, and that the crowds attending won't vary all that much whether the price is £19 or half that. Because the opposite is true too - if the product is really bad, why would you pay £19, or £9, or even waste £1 watching it - if you weren't a loyal diehard ??? |

Did Dundee use the Seville calculator for the crowd on Saturday?Also is it true that Dundee have budgeted for something like an average of 4500 for home attendances?
