As thought of in the Railway Stand thread. If the poll could be added to that thread I would be happy for this one to be closed. |

I can't unfortunately, the thing is as soon as it is voted on, you can't edit the poll, Admin probably could though. |

I voted for yes regardless, although, as I said on the other thread I still think that the focus should be on the main stand terracing. I think the main focus point should be trying to attract as many fans as possible.
Off the top of my head, I was wondering if the club could get advertising down the High Street and about the supermarkets/schools etc? Could possibly do a scheme where if a person attends with a season ticket holder, they get in at a discount for one game. |

Inclined to agree with you on that one and certainly seems more feasible but we shouldn't forget the Railway Stand situation. |

Would love for the Railway stand to be converted into terracing, could even split it so it's half home fans and half away fans, imagine the atmosphere in there at a Fife derby.
We don't have the money to make this a reality of course and it will probably be in it's current state for many years to come. _________________ RAITH ROVERS VIDEOS

the stand should be opened, especially the awayend section, look how much ross county fans there was no point opening the mcdermid stand for half a dozen fans when you can put them in there. Dunfermline dont open there away section behind the goals unless they are paying us dundee and falkirk. so makes sense, spend money getting it sorted and it will get paid of in no time. You would need less police and stewards if you had the railway stand open for the small away crowds coming to starks. |

OK, put it this way.......
If you lived in a council house, would you spent £10,000 putting a conservatory on it?
I wouldn't. Starks Park doesn't belong to Raith Rovers, so why waste money on doing up something which we don't own? The scarlett pimpernel should be doing any repairs and upgrades to his property. _________________ No no no no ma wee laddie. |

Wouldn't that all depend on the terms of the lease which was agreed when the "Scarlett Pimpernell" dipped his hand into his pocket to stump up a considerable sum to bail the club out of the mess it found itself in. |

Where's the no option? You can create as many polls as you like, but it's never going to happen. |

Agree with Latto that it ain't ever gonna happen.
SPL requirement is a 6,000 seater stdia, we comfortably meet that criteria.
Nice thought, but reality dictates otherwise.............. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

It would be great to have a terracing area in the ground but lets be honest, If we had say 500 taken from the south stand and out into terracing the south stand would become empty. We don't have a big enough crowd for us to have the main stand, south stand and also a terracing. I have been in the railway stand and it would take alot of work to get it done. To be honest with the age of the main stand the railway stand should be turned into a number of different things, The hospitality shold be moved across to there, with it having a couple of boxes looking over on the pitch, then we should have a supporters bar where people could go and have a drink before the game. If you have a look at Peterhead, stenny, queens park, they all have somewhere the fans can go before a game. It all adds money into the club. Could have buisness rooms which can be used for meetings, fundraising events etc.
There is no way the stand will be opened for terracing unless we start getting bigger crowds. |

OK then Kenny. Let's delmolish the hideous South Stand (and North Stand) then, sell the steel and use the money to do up the Railway stand into terracing then. Anyone who wants to sit could then go in the Main Stand, where you aren't allowed to sing as people can't hear the game.......
Ha ha. Much as I love the idea of standing at the side of the pitch to support my team the way you are supposed to....standing, it is a non starter just now. Pity, as I said before, I would happily pay extra to stand in a covered terrace. _________________ No no no no ma wee laddie. |
