Brody Paterson looked very good both in defence and coming forward. His cut back for our goal was simply spot on. He must be worth another look at least? I know one Swallow does not a summer make, but it was as good a performance in a Rovers defensive shirt I have seen for a while.
A great start for Mullin and Easton, with Smith unlucky on a couple of occasions. Add to this we still have Hamilton and Vaughan to come and hopefully Gullan can revert back to some sort of form? I am looking forward to our new skill sets in this next season.

I am well aware it is only one game against, with respect, a lesser opposition, and we yet again lost an uncontested header goal from a corner. However, we may possibly be looking at the beginnings of some recovery shoots appearing.

If we signed Brody Patterson, the question becomes does he start, and Dick becomes our second, faster but experienced CB?

That would leave us with Watson, Dick, Masson and Corr at CB. Brown is available for emergency coverage.

Then at LB we have Patterson, with cover by Dick and McGill…likewise at RB we then have Millen, with cover by Brown, Masson and McGill.

Sign Patterson, I’d say we’d still want a CB, maybe two if Masson on loan is a plan for the first half of the season…and that would also possibly require a little more cover at RB.
