I remember a while back seeing an english club running a scheme sponsoring a beer for the team at the end of the season. As we have a team that has played out their skins for almost all games this season, and provided us with the highs and lows that only a Rovers team can, I was thinking it would be a nice thing to emulate.
This is what I was thinking - a minimum £5 'donation' would get you a pack of 5 blue and 5 white baloons for the end of the season, with the remaining money being spent on 'refreshments' (alchoholic and soft drinks) for the team 'post arbroath'. For those who take part, you would be able to provide a message that would be stuck to one of the bottles for the team. If there is a large uptake (as into the £100's of pounds) money would also be donated to the club and/ or trust.
It is short notice, and I would need to get everything sorted by Monday if it was going to happen. If you think it would be a go-er, please post here. If there is not much interest it won't happen. |

I know it is only monday... but I work full time! If it went ahead I would have needed all monies by about Wednesday so I would have been able to get to Costco and get thing bought etc. I have also noticed from past 'enterprise endeavours' that if 10 people say they will do something, you normally only have about 5 that actually will.
By all means, by a box of beer and drop it off at Starks if you are realy keen. |
