Superb news.
Congratulations to both parties in getting such a conclusion.
I wonder if, seeing Lewie sign up, it might persuade one or two notable others to take a year (or maybe two years') extension if it is offered?
We can all but hope.🤫 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

A very bold move by the club given that he's not played a lot of football since his first serious injury 6 years ago. They must be hoping that his luck has got to change, lets hope so. He deserves to see out the rest of his career injury free!
I was of the opinion that he should be released when his current deal ends given the amount of money spent on medical bills in return for very little.
However, his performances of late have been excellent and he's been on the receiving end of a few heavy challenges and looked none the worse.
Lets hope this continues. |

Great news! Welcome back, in both ways, Lewie! Hopefully a happy end to a long story, from the injuries to the Dumbarton loan. Could you imagine, after all that, if he scored the goal to get us promoted! |

The Dumbarton loan was an embarrasing piece of miismanagement. Luckily for us Vaughan is still with us and signed an extended deal. |

This is absolutely tremendous news in my opinion. Yep he has had a lot of time on the treatment table over the years but has still made over 160 appearances and scored over 50 goals. We've wasted far greater sums of money during those years on players who have made little or no contribution. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Here we go again. No Rovers fan should be surprised by this latest injury. There is no doubt LV is a fantastic player, probably of SPL standard when in top form, but can we really justify awarding him a 2 year deal knowing that he is going to be plagued by injuries?
Our medical bill for the last 6 years must be equivalent to third world debt. |

I understand fully the theory about there being no room for sentiment in football-how often do we see players/managers being quick to jump ship for more money? I am full of admiration, however, for the manner in which the club has stood by Lewis throughout his traumas. I would argue that he is a special case. He committed himself to the club early age and is part of the Rovers' 'family'. |

It's a shame to see another injury to Lewis, just when he was building up a head of steam and scoring goals again. Hopefully he bounces back from this setback quickly, but as a silver lining, his injury record absolutely makes him less attractive to other clubs which means we get to keep him around. We need to accept though, we'll likely never get a full season out of him any more. |

Sad news on Lewis, so talented and a big gifted player for us.
And with Brad Spencer injured and Vegan man away now, we are without our talented group of players. |

I hope not, but i'm sure JMcG said after the Dunf "game" that there was possibility his knee issue could go at some time and would need a quick op, maybe its that? Everything possible crossed its not another ACL |
