I am delighted to announce that the annual 7-a-side football tournament organised by Fife's Finest has been renamed in Ronnie's honour, with permission from his family, and all profit made will be donated to the Maggie's Centre in Kirkcaldy.
This year is our 7th year and due to the demand for spaces we're increasing our capacity to 18 teams.
The tournament is normally by invite only due to the limited spaces and is contested by Raith supporters teams and supporters groups from across the country, but this year i'd like to open it up to a wider audience.
Last year was the 1st year since it's inaugural one that the trophy was won by a Rovers supporters team, with Soca Warriros beating Arsenal Scotland 1-0 in last year's final although it's not the only time the trophy was retained in Fife, having twice been won by Cowdenbeath (in a team which included Dougie Hill!)
The tournament is on Saturday 1st June at Balwearie High School at 12pm, followed by a function in the Raith 200 Club afterwards.
If you'd like to put a team in, please PM me. Cost is £50 per team, although a £2 donation to the Maggie's Centre from each player would be much apprectiated.

This is shaping up to be a good tournament,
I've already got interest from quite a few Raith supporters including Fife's Finest, the Macgregor Lounge and the 200 Club so a few derbies brewing! Also looking to get teams from Cowdenbeath, Albion Rovers, Arsenal, St Johnstone and possibly Borussia Dortmund & Airdrie.
We may also have a couple of former players starring in some of the teams.
All setting us up for a cracker this year |

1 week to go until the deadline for entry for this, so can all teams pay their £50 entry fee into Bank of Scotland sort code 80 46 31, account number 10103165 by next Monday.
As this is a fundraiser for the Kirkcaldy Maggie's Centre, and as the entry fee is reduced this year, I'd like to ask all players taking part to make a voluntary £1 donation. To raise additional funds, perhaps people would like to get sponsored to take part? maybe for goals scored/conceded, or minutes on the pitch? _________________ NO FOOTBALL FOR FASCISTS |

I was thinking about doing that but didn't want to be responsible for bankrupting family and friends. |

Here's some more info ahead of Saturday:
We have 2 groups of 6. Matches will be 10 minutes. Top 4 from each group will qualify for the knockouts.
If 2 teams finish on equal points, goal difference, goals for and head-to-head then a penalty shootout will decide who finishes higher.
Knockouts will be followed by penalties if the game is a draw.
As we've reduced the entry fee this year, I'd like to request all players make a donation to the Maggie's Centre, and we will have donation buckets placed around the pitches.
The 200 Club will be open in the South Stand for players afterwards and there will be food available. Please be aware nobody will be allowed to leave the 200 Club until we've drunk it dry!
Here are the groups - kick off at 12pm.

Good luck to all involved today, hope you all have a good and injury free day.
Gutted that I was recalled offshore yesterday and am missing the fun. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

So.
Come on.
Which supporter's team finished the highest? Surely no the MacGregor Lounge team with the 46, 47 and 51 year olds in it? |
