Who is the better keeper? Who should be first choice? Who couldn't catch a cold and who is the better shot stopper?

I don't think there's any doubt as to who our Number 1 is.
The debate is whether or not he should automatically regain his place after injury if the back-up keeper has played well. As they say, "form is temporary, class is permanent" - I'd play the Number 1 at every available opportunity, regardless of the second choice keeper's performance. |

While McGurn is the better keeper, O'Conner did deserve his place on Saturday, he made a few decent saves against EF and never put a foot wrong last week (which wasn't difficult)
It's not right to replace a keeper who did nothing wring or we'l have the same problem as last year with a keeper with no confidence knowing that no matter what he does he will not get a game
I do think O'Conner was at fault for at leat 1 of yesterdays goals and so McGurn dhould be back next week |

I think we suffered from the same problem as last season, actually. The keeper's had no confidence because nobody knew who the Number 1 was. Dave McGurn's confidence could be shot just now, because he's been dropped because of an injury beyond his control, and replaced by an (IMO) inferior goalkeeper. |

They certainly both appear to have a serious problem with positioning. |

Whoever is saying Amos should be our no.1 needs a reality check. Perhaps in the future, yes. Right now, NO. |

O'Conner didn't deserve to be in Saturdays team or for that the team against Peterhead. He is our backup keeper nothing more and if our no. 1 keeper in McGurn is fit then he should walk straight back into our side. |

If neither are good enough then does the gaffer look to bring in someone in January?
IMHO McGurn is good enough, i just feel that he could do with the backing of the manager and the fans who should make it clear that he is our number 1 and when he is fit he will play. Last season it wasn't clear who the first choice was and that could only contribute to some dodgy performances. _________________ We hate sh%4y litte east fife..... |

I find this thread pretty disrespectful to the two goalkeepers and the manager who have helped put us on top of the league. Also a couple of other threads slating other players.
We've lost one league game all season, have the best goal difference and best defensive record of any team in the league. We should be absolutely delighted about this, and singing the praises of the team that have got us there. If I was McGurn, O'Connor or McGlynn - or any other member of the squad for that matter - and I came on to Fantalk I'd have one of two reactions to this thread... I'd either soil myself laughing, or I'd want to throw the PC through the window in disgust.
Thanks for living up to the stereotype of whinging Fifers guys, you've done yourselves proud. _________________ Follow the Trust on facebook and twitter |

I think the relevant question is whether or not McGlynn's indecision with regards to selecting a first choice goalkeeper is going to cost us this season in the same way as it did last season. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |
