I heard:
1, Stevenson and Hanlon were seen at Starks in midweek, Really hope it wasn't with an idea of signing. The former is far too old to be a marauding full back and the way the latter was brushed aside and left for dead by Simon Murray yesterday suggests they will not improve our defence much if at all.
2, Dylan Easton has signed a PCA with Motherwell, if he has, then good luck to him. Personally I'd far rather we got Mr Matthews tied down for the next few seasons, admittedly DE can light up a game, however a fit again Ross Matthews is more of a solid performer imo. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 19, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Matthews 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

If Lewis Stevenson and Paul Hanlon are interested in coming to Raith then for me, it's a no brainer. Paul Hanlon is Hibs captain and has only been out the team recently due to an illness. He's 34 so not young but also not old for a CB.
Lewis Stevenson may not be marauding but would be a good signing.
As with all of these types of signing, the medicals are crucial. If you are a Dylan Corr or Adam Masson you'd do far worse than learning from these two. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

Think we need to wait til we know what league we are in before deciding if someone is a good signing or not. We certainly could have done with a Hanlon this season mind.
If we do sign either or both then I hope it’s for what they bring to the team and not because they are pals of our manager. |

Signing Lewis Stevenson ? Are we convinced that we are staying in the Championship then?
Surely ,if signing him, last season would have been the one. Also, he's small and we need more players who can compete in the air, not fewer !
Paul Hanlon? Yes, I could see that, although I don't know who else would be available to us. |

Sorry WB, but what did you mean? Is there news / rumour that he is off somewhere else? |

Just the rumours of heading to Motherwell. Are they accurate? _________________ Two pints prick |

Stevenson and Hanlon linked with Pars. Connection with McPake being a former player with them. |

According to a very reliable source, Lewis Stevenson verbally agreed to join us a few weeks ago. I think he will be an excellent signing and a vast improvement on Liam Dick. Also, DE was offered a new deal in January but has not signed anything. |

I'm not sure about Stevenson, mainly due to him being 36. |

Yup.
With age comes experience, however it also brings slower legs.
I dunno the guy so cannae comment on whether he would be good for us or not.
God knows our luck with injury related old timers is they are often slower to heal also. .
I guess we have to trust IM judgement regarding signings.
IMO he has made a good few choices so far based on our league standing and general good pass n move footy. I would mostly like to see CONSISTENCY from the players. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

I’m hearing Stevenson has already agreed upon a two year deal.
Not convinced he is what we should be aspiring towards, player wise, but I guess he brings experience/leadership, would be no surprise to see him move into the coaching side of things too… |

Surely the Club won't finalise a deal with any player until we know which league we will be in? |
