As far as I'm aware the supporter's club still exists but whether it organises buses, that I don't know.
Anyone out there with more accurate and up to date information? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Did the demand for buses not fall away during/after Covid?
Eddie Doig was yer man for organising them at the time. |

I mind back in the day when I joined as a youngster it was Jim Foy and another gent, whose name escapes me right now, used to be the ones doing much of the organisational work. Had the wee office beneath the main stand and I'd sell my three quid worth of scratch cards/ tickets to get my place on the bus paid for. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

When football was cheap and affordable to everyone and you could stand anywhere and let off some steam without offending people. |

Brian Faithful was involved/ran the supporters club for many years
When I was in the supporters club it was housed in the Deaf and Dumb Institute next door to the KUSI club.At that time the supporters club was run by and excuse me as its that long ago I cant remember his name but was known as Soapy Paulor something like that
The Deaf and Dumb insitute is now a rather large house belonging to Alex Penman _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Yeah Brian Fairful I remember now as well but another chap was Melville or Meldrum or something like that. Apologies for not remembering or maybe even misremembering, it was a while ago. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Brian Fairfull and Drew Nairn were the most memorable guy from my early years.
I met Drew about 10 years ago and he always remarked how I could sweet talk them into the bus taking a detour and dropping me off at the bottom of my street in Kinghorn. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Alan Melville. Him and Brian would collect tickets from a wee room at Templehall shops on a Friday night. If that didn't suit you paid your money and collected you tickets from their shopping trolley at Volunteers Green car park before the bus departed for the game.
That's how we rocked back then!! |

Allan Melville was the treasurer and Brian Fairful was the Assistant Treasurer, Allan looked after the money and Brian issued the tickets/scratchcards. I was responsible for organising the buses so when you handed in the money and winning tickets to Allan, Brian issued you with new ones and then you would come to me and I would register you for a seat on the bus. It all took place on a Friday night at various locations over the years including the Deaf and Dumb Institute, Templehall Old Men's Club which is now Callum Robertson Funeral Directors, Kirkcaldy YMCA, and on matchdays at the small office under the main stand, now the laundry, and then in our office/shop in the south stand which is now the 200 Club. For away games the ticket exchanges took place via a shopping trolley as we waited for the bus at Volunteers Green.
There were a lot more people involved in running the Supporters' Club than I've mentioned here but this is basically how the free bus travel scheme was organised and run during my time. |

Please can we not refer to it as the dumb centre, no one is dumb. It's 2024, use the word mute if need to. |

That is what the place was called at the time. It wasn’t the deaf and mute institute. _________________ Two pints prick |
