Just send them the bill. If we're lucky we'll get a penny for every pound back in compensation.🫣

Solid if unspectacular win. We were 2nd best for most of the game but barring a 2nd half save at 1-0, can’t remember Kev having much to do. Mix of us defending well and them being toothless in final 3rd.

Great result and a confidence boost for makeshift defence.

Wonder if it was the same large group of numpties that left 5 mins before the end to lie in wait through the wee flats that people cut through on Pratt Street to jump folk that trashed the loos on way out?

As for that smoke flare at 2-0… Don’t throw them on our artificial surface ffs, it cost us money…however, why was there a guy standing there with a bucket and a thing to pick it up with just standing watching it for 2mins!? It ain’t going to explode if you touch it!!

Watched a group of 10 leave from home end at half time when I was out for a puff

Fair summary on the game, flare throwers and the static steward

Not a great performance or game by any strectch of the imagination but dont really care. Its the result that counts

Ps

Club really need to look at their pricing policy for some of the seats in the Main Stan in almost sell out crowds.Theres quite a number with restricted view. From my seat, couldn,t see the goals at the away end, without ending up in a potential neck brace

He initially tried to get on but the steward there stopped him then the ref said something. Don't know if there is something in place that they cannot entry park to retrieve if still smoking or burning.

SB has taken the words right out of my mouth. Solid but unspectacular. To be even more or precise, solid defensively, which was pleasing, but unspectacular in attack. First half seen neither side really create much of a chance that I can recall but I do remember a Pars player have a free header from about nine yards out and fortunately he nodded it straight at Big Kev. Should probably have scored or at least made our keeper do something special. Shortly afterwards we took the lead and I'll need to see it again later on to know if it was a poor goalkeeping effort after Vaughan's free kick or if there was too much venom in the kick. Regardless Stanton did well to direct his header back into the net. Dunfermline had the bull of possession throughout the game and had as under a good deal of pressure before we got the second. At time the defending looked at bit desperate though I wouldn't say it was quite as panic stricken as it has been in recent games. Everyone kept calm and nobody jumped in recklessly in the box. A rasping shot which Kev superbly deflected over was the only moment when I thought that's a goal from them. We were obviously trying to catch them on the break yet we never looked like doing it the way were set up. Rudden being too isolated when he did manage to get a hold of it.
Easton's goal was a lovely finish and I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Was a bit like the one he scored against them back in July except better and more difficult. That goal killed the game off because this time, as opposed to last week, we showed some game intelligence and kept possession in and around their box. I'm sure at one stage we must have spent five minutes in the corner by the railway stand alone.
Stanton deservedly man of the match, he was a colossus in that second half thundering into challenges and nicking the ball from their feet countless times.
That said I didn't think anyone lets us down today with a special mention to the whole backline and Vaughan who put in a heck of a shift.

P.S Don't worry Embow, I'll start the Patrick match thread later on!

If we played the way we do against Dunfermline and Dundee United in every game, we would be out of sight. Partick are our nearest rivals for second place, if we stay there. Hopefully that will be some motivation
for Tuesday.

I’ll tell you what, I am just watching the highlights of today’s magnificent triumph over the Pars and saw Kev’s incredible save again, early in s-h!! That save, by itself, more than makes up for the blunder at Arbroath as, although the one at Arbroath may have cost us 3 points, can you really ‘put a price’ on, another 3 points against the Pars?!

Although this was a fantastic win for us - wee point - at the penalty there was a lot of movement of the stewards behind the goal. Could this have been enough to put Smiff off? In the end didn't matter but say it had been critical then I think many of us would have been miffed by the miff by Smiff.

A much needed win to steady the ship after a poor week.
I'll enjoy it while we can, a clean sheet and a 2 goal margin is pleasing but have to temper this with, it was only against Dunfermline! They really are poor, yet still they dominated the ball in the second half and if they weren't so toothless in the final third it might well have been a different tale.
The victory and clean sheet will help confidence but we have to beware of Partick, i fear they will prove a bigger challenge than the Pars, my worry is that teams play in the ways that has caused us problems of late. Super save from big Kev who was good today, buts the Pars didn't put him under any of the pressure that he's struggled with with of late.

Firhill will be a biggie.

Given it was the 97th minute, we should have let big Kev take the penalty to really wind them up.

It was a strange game overall.
We were very passive and seemed to be outworked in midfield for large spells.
Didn't really deserve to go 1-0 up, didn't really deserve to go 2-0 up, but could easily have won 4-0 by the end.
Other than the quick thinking at the 2nd goal, I didn't think Vaughan was great today - I'd have hooked him for Byrne much earlier to stiffen up the midfield alongside Matthews and allow Stanton to play much further forward.
Absolutely delicious seeing that cheating right back mess up at the 2nd goal. Easton deserved the booking, but the playacting was beyond embarrassing, as was Todd's dive in the first half.
Also, even though I'm a massive Sam Stanton fan, I thought Euan Murray was Man of the Match for us yesterday. His best game in a Rovers jersey by a distance.
