It would be good if we could sit comfortable is this game so as to give some minutes to both Matthews and Corr.

Absolutely! But given the season so far, what are the chances? 😉

It would be good just for once in a league game to sit comfortable. The rest will then take care of itself.😊

Being top of the league and taking it one game at a time means this is now our biggest game of the season and if we want to continue to be league toppers then beating Ayr is essential.
Scoring goals isn't our issue but keeping clean sheets is (was last weekend our first of the league campaign?) so if we can stop them from scoring then I can't see how we won't win the match. Don't really mind who plays as we have such a good squad that I trust whoever plays where to put in a good performance.
On a night where we play at the same time as Utd it's possible we could be eating our turkey on Monday eight points clear.

Not sure that the clean sheets are essential (although great to have) just ensure Rovers score one more than the opposition every game. Lets face it the chances of bettering DU's goal difference have long since gone.

For me it’s all pretty simple tonight… tempo, measured aggression, intensity

We have proven we can maintain high levels for 90mins v a better team in Dundee Utd so basically there is no reason for them to drop. The minute anybody on the pitch, subconsciously or not, start thinking any game is ‘easier’ or the occasion isn’t lifting them enough, be it the crowd, the opposition, the lack of TV cameras….then we have a problem. Every point is a prisoner.

Outrun them, outfight them, don’t switch off, quality in this squad isn’t an issue so the rest will take care of itself.

Agree wholeheartedly with starksbarmy and castle.

Treat each game like a title decider.
Take your foot of the pedal.......
You slow down.
Confidence is important, over confidence is a prelude to failure.

This team is the best I have witnessed. The standard of work ethic is great to watch.
We will lose again, if we do, you get back up and go again.

What a squad Exclamation Exclamation

Seem to be struggling a wee bit in the first quarter.
Need to find a way to get out of the Ayr press which seems to be causing a few problems.

Sam limps off…looks like a bad landing. Replaced by Smith.
