Ayr have had a couple of poor results against Forfar and Arbroath and this has coincided with an improvement in our own results. Ayr beat us with considerable ease down there and that has to be considered. They have had two bad home results so perhaps playing away from Somerset Park may be beneficial. The pressure is on us to maintain our fantastic home record and therefore Ayr having nothing to lose. I still think we will sneak a narrow win.

I predict that we will be over-run in midfield with Ayr dominating possession without creating any real chances.

0-0 draw with McKay man of the match.

Crowd of 1769 - 102 away fans.

Unexpectedly big home crowd means there's not enough pies and I'm heartbroken to miss out.

Vaughn dropping back a bit and Regan Hendry (if he gets a game) might help plug that midfield gap just a wee bit. Not ideal I know. That said, their defence is worse than ours - as is their keeper! They only win games by scoring more than their opponents. If we sit deep and wait for them to come at us, they will run riot and the ball won't get near their jittery defence. By contrast, we have improving forwards. If we mark their forwards tightly and keep attacking for the full 90 mins, their defence simply won't cope with that and we could well win by a few goals.

Maybe Lennox will get a start on the wing as he's not getting anywhere near the goal just now!..
