Indeed. Another blunder today apparently.
Hopefully he plays like he did last time round at Stark's. |
Their highlights are a good watch, calamitous defending for equaliser, a goal saving professional foul for sending off then their keeper appears out of nowhere 30yrds off his line trying to win a ball which the defence is coping with easily to concede winner! |
Do you have a link for there highlights |

The dynamic of this fixture has changed massively over the last three weeks.
Back then it was a 'daren't lose and really need to win' game for us, whereas now that applies to Ayr.
If we're level with twenty minutes left, we don't need to bust a gut for a goal, however I hope we go for Ayr's throats right from the start and shatter their keeper's confidence even more. _________________ Dougie Hill

I wasn't the only one and it's not yet won.
If we were to be all honest with each other I'm sure many were harbouring real doubts and none of us could foresee the current meltdown at Somerset.
My only concern or hope is that we don't have a similar slump, particularly at the real business end of the season.
It's a natural concern given its Raith Rovers we are following.
Been there too often in the past.
Aff doon tae Inverness now for a wee bit of retail therapy and to soak in the atmosphere of being at the tap o' the league. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Looks like their number 2 might miss the match judging by the highlights. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

The cheek Vinnie, just the one face and its rather a braw ain thank you
Aye who would have thought 3 to 4 weeks ago we were adrift. Ayr were winning games when they had been behind and now thats turned around where they have been ahead and then lost.
Braw.
A well earned victory yesterday but it should have been a lot more. Thank goodness for another own goal.
Zanatta had probably more of the ball than anyone yesterday and the lad did well but we could have had a lot more from him.
Davo was outstanding. What is his position regarding a suspension and being available for the Ayr United game?
Barry Smith once again was poor at the use of subs!
Surely the young lad from Celtic should be getting on, getting used to his team mates etc.
PS My mistake here lads, holds head in shame, wrang topic - Tam

Better than a penalty!
Goal guaranteed. No offside. No miss or save from the spot.
As long as it's not one of ours that commits the deed, what's not to like? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Are Smiths use of subs that much of an issue?
We've seen out games perfectly fine, no point putting subs on for the sake of it. 2-1 up is no time to make a change just so players can get used to their team mates.
We haven't needed to change the flow of the game lately, so subs really haven't been an issue. |

With Forfar match opinions spilling into this thread, getting back on topic (well, almost) -
The situation regarding possible suspensions isn't always cut and dried. I can't be sure, but is it not the case that yellow cards tot up throughout the season, regardless of competition, and that it is only reds that are competition specific? Even then, a red card for violent conduct carries an immediate next game suspension regardless of competition?
And are there still 1-point and 2-point yellow cards, with the lesser ones being for back-chat, etc?
Anyway, I make it that Davo has 5 league yellow cards and 1 in league cup, plus his straight red at Forfar. Vaughan has 5 league yellow cards, Zanatta 4, and Spence 3 (plus his red at Dumbarton in Challenge Cup). Herron, Matthews & Barr also have 3 each across all competitions.
So, we should be relatively well placed as regards suspensions, as you'd suspect other clubs, Ayr included, will have players under that threat too, quite possibly more challenged than we are |

Really looking forward to this match. Also, with no SPL games and free entry for U-12s, hopefully a we'll get a good crowd.
I was listening to Chick Young who was at Ayr yesterday saying " Ayr look a shadow of the team that I saw playing earlier in the season".
Also, key player Chris Higgans was stretchered off, so hopefully he'll be out.
I predict a 3-1 Rovers win, Spence,Zanatta&Vaughan Att 2850....with Davo being booked of course. |

Ayr supporting mates of mine, openly admit Ayr’s beat performance ‘by a long distance’ was when they beat us 3-0.
The past month or so, the forwards free scoring has covered defensive problems. |

That's the guy who was sent off here the last time.
He put in a shocking knee high tackle on Spence in front of the railway stand and was amazingly only booked. However, a few minutes later he had a tug at Zanatta's jersey and off he went.
Oh, and he's an ex Par. _________________ Dougie Hill

Our form has been amazing of late.
Great to see our strikers starting to score more regularly - Spence is on fire.
Sure Vaughan's goals helped us all early in the season goals being distributed about is great, but strikers on the score sheet is bread and butter.
Think it will be a quick check of the weather saturday morning to make sure game on before hopping a train to get to this!
