Was watching highlights of aberdeen v Dundee game and prior to the game Dundee had a striker out injured. Bizarrely in the 80th minute two of their strikers went off injured at the same time. If they are indeed looking at Vaughan they well step things up this week depending on their injuries.

Ramp up the price if it's Dundee for the simple fact they've been happy enough to shaft others before with their umpteen administrations. Not that we should be selling him given his forum and ability.

AM - Lewis Vaughan (Raith Rovers)
It’s an incredible run for Vaughan, who has now scored in eight consecutive games for the League 1 side after his double against East Fife helped secure a 5-0 victory for Barry Smith’s league leaders. Playing in a deeper role really seems to be bringing out the best in the 21-year-old.

If we have any sense we will reject whatever paltry amount is offered to us and look to get Lewis locked down to a contract extension. Boys like Vaughan, Callachan and Matthews are the future of this team and will be key to getting us not only back to the Championship but challenging for promotion to the Premiership.

We should definitely keep Vaughan but I can see little chance of him penning a new contract to stay with us beyond May. He'll be away to another club next season and he may even sign a pre contract in the new year.

I'm hoping no one will come in for him and goes on to have a great season. Should he still be a rovers player on Friday then i would have no issues with him signing a pre-contract with another team in January. I have no issues with players moving onto bigger and better things, they have to look after themselves during their short career.

When he was out for a year we stood by him and looked after him so I would like to think he may have some loyalty to us. However, should a silly bid come in then that decision maybe taken away from him.

He's a talented lad and should end up in the Scottish Premier but first he needs to help us back to the Championship. Either way, I'm sure he'll want to find a higher level team next season, and good luck to him. It's a short career.

Maybe one day he will score the goal that gets us back into the Premiership! Just saying. Smile

Hopefully the £20 note from Call's sale will be put into giving him an enhanced contract.

After last season's goal-drought and ultimate collapse, whoever would have guessed that THIS season, Vaughn would break Dazza's record - and within the first few weeks too!
