I've got no idea on how to run a club or all of the transfer rules , but I do know that we could have got an under 21gk in on emergency loan but from the interviews with Hughes & Drysdale it was advised the club wanted an experienced Gk & not an under 21gk, the guy at Celtic should be having a serious chat if not a fine if the interviews are to be believed that Celtic were willing to let the Gk come to us & the deal was done but the lad at the last hour decided otherwise, clearly easier just siting in the reserves getting a pay packet. But in saying that the club & yogi knew that we only had the 1fit Gk after the Dundee Utd game.

Regardless of Brennan's current injury we should be focused on getting in a Gk as Cuthbert isn't coming back anytime soon & I don't think Lennox will be either, apart from the Gk crisis, we need to change the midfield, Davo & Callachan are & have been brutal, get Mathews & C. Barr in midfield & lets start playing football again, short sharp passing instead of the punt up the park.

After looking at the highlights there wasn't much in the way of finding a striker via a through pass, it was all in the corners for a cross or a ball over the top - no more excuses or hilarity in the interviews we just need a result vs St Mirren, this might just be the game that can get us going if we can some how grind out a result I just wonder who will be in goal.

Just watched the interview with Hughes. I cannot understand why raith tv are showing this. Regardless of who is to blame our manager is having a go at doncaster, blair and suggesting that hearts were at the capers.

He will now get into bother and no doubt the club will have a fine to pay.

I appreciate all the raith tv boys do but a wee bit common sense on this issue should on been used.

Hibs seem to know what they are doing and acting quickly.

I have deliberately stayed away from FanTalk all season as I didn't want to get drawn into any public discussions or arguments about the Board/choice of manager/form/team selections or whatever generates heat and smoke across the forums. But I'm crawling out from under my rock to as I want to offer some thoughts on all that has been said about the goalkeeping debacle and the Ayr game.

In a nutshell, it's a case of 'damned if you do and equally damned if you don't'.

It's easy with hindsight to squeal that the club should have gone out and signed a goalkeeper a few weeks back when Kevin Cuthbert was injured. If they had done so at the time then I've no doubt that many folk on here and other social media outlets would have accused the board of wasting money we don't have in paying a wage to someone who, in all likelihood, was liable to spend their time on the bench.

A gamble was taken....one which was reasonable give that only the worst run of imaginable luck would see us lose a third goalkeeper to an injury during any matches....a gamble that hasn't paid off and led to the club having to put a contingency plan into operation. What transpired was an effort to get the best possible solution for Raith Rovers which was to bring an experienced keeper in for what is an important run of matches. As far as I can see, this looked a likely outcome until late on Monday night.

Turning to the criticism of Raith TV and the airing of Yogi's interview.

If they had that in the can but not broadcast it, then again folk on here would have had a go at them for not sharing info with the fans. It's also worth noting that the manager had already spoken at length to the media before he gave such a lengthy interview to Davie Hancock and much of what he said on camera to Raith TV was a repeat of his earlier comments to press and reporters at the game.

One final observation. A good number of fans of other clubs, who I either work alongside or am friendly with, have spoken to me last night and/or today to offer sympathy at how Raith Rovers have been treated by the SPFL, These fans of other clubs are more than willing to lay the blame entirely at the feet of the governing body. And that's without viewing the videos with Yogi and Eric which put the meat on the bones of the argument. It just seems that too many Rovers fans want to use the whole thing to vent spleen about the way the club has been run this season and not actually accept that everyone was doing their very best to act in the club's interests.

Jim, I'd never question this board's desire to do everything possible to do its best for the club. They and us are all supporters after all.
However, this instance I get the feeling something isn't sitting right with what's gone on. It may be from the SPFL or it may be from the club. But something isn't quite right with this.
There is too much conflict in the statements issued.

Take exception to your last point Jim. The SPFL themselves have come out and said that Rovers did not do all they could. As fans, we have a right to be pretty peeved off. There might be more to come out of this, but when we have watched a professional football club start a game with a midfielder in goals, and league body have publically commented that as a club we didn't do all we could to avoid this.....something doesn't add up here and it makes a mockery and laughing stock if the club we all love.

the SPFL are stating that they were avenues we could have gone down to get any keeper in.

Raith wanted a decent keeper, and paid the price with that stance.

According to SPFL there were options there that we did not or chose not, to explore. As an emergency loan we could of got a keeper of any age in. Confirmed by SPFL.

I'm starting to wonder is Mr drysdale is a clown. Surely our chief executive and elected SPFL board member should know the rules. Not only that, yogi last night had a at doncaster and Blair, calling them a joke. I think he is going to have to apologise and see his chief executive as the joke.

Not the first time mr drysdale has made us a laughing stock. There was the the farce when sevcos hardie was on scotland duty as was our loanee wighton and he made a song and dance about getting him back. When we were offered we then knocked it back due to not paying for flights.

My sympathies to the board and Eric are limited without knowing the background to what has been done by the club since Saturday to get a keeper in. As I have said previously, this is a low point in the clubs history, which could end up defining the future path of the club if we go down. That's how serious this farce is. I'm not buying the club statement or Hughes's comments in the media. The blame for this lies with the club. Very poor planning, and we are almost using it as an excuse to deflect away from another defeat. The St Mirren game is now a huge one. We need to find a win to save our season.

Have a look at the STV website, theres an interview with Drysdale. Turns out the club just didn't know the rules. On top of that, throwing all the eggs in one basket, firstly with not bringing in backup for Brennan (which I can almost accept is a financial decision) and secondly with only looking at Logan and not having a plan B incase things didn't work out.

Our fault - not the SPFL.

Luckily, it didnt cost us last night and we should have someone in for next week.

Not an expert on football contracts and registrations etc
But don't you have to have agreed a contract or terms with a player, before you seek permission for a emergency loan ?

So if we couldn't agree terms, then we couldn't apply for a loan.

Lots of smoke in mirrors in this one on both sides
