I'm unsure of what the rules are for goalkeepers - I thought for that specialised position they were slightly different in terms of loan deals etc. to circumvent unusual situations like this.
Although I do have some sympathy about this ahead of what for me is potentially the biggest game of the season in terms of importance there is no doubt it makes us look foolish as a club.
What about the goalkeeping coach - does he know anything about goalkeeping? |

Stolen from P&B
You can have a maximum of two over 21's on loan in a season but only one at a time.
You can have a maximum of 4 domestic emergency or standard loans at one time too and a maximum of 5 in one season. However you can have additional Development Loans. Are none of the existing loans Development loans
Is Hardie not a development loan( he was at Midden)?.It would mean we could bring in an emergency or standard loan
End of the day we,be been what,3 to 4 weeks without a back up keeper?Only ourselves to blame? _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Mathew Elder - Understand Raith have failed in a request to SPFL to have tonight's match at Ayr postponed due to all 3 of their goalkeepers being injured.
Remains to be seen whether last minute cover been arranged. Only other option to play an injured keeper or outfield player wears the gloves. |

Ryan Stevenson confirmed in goal, Yogi going with a back 5 (Thompson, C. Barr, Bene, M’voto & McHatttie - just to invite pressure on the experienced goalie!!!!) then a midfield 4 of Johnson, Callaghan, Davo & McManus, with Hardie up front. Get the tin hats on boys |

Utter shambles. Hughes has had 2 and a half weeks to bring somebody in.
It's a bit of a freak situation, but for a professional football club to go into a game with no for goalkeepers is an absolute disgrace. |

Davo & Callachan playing together in the middle of the park don't & have never filled me with any confidence. Hughes should have dropped davo to the bench & played R. Mathews instead.
I'm not sure a back 5 is the right idea with our old inexperienced outfield keeper, might have been better playing C. Barr in front of the defende or even in midfield & fill the middle with 5, but then we never do anything easy.... |

So with the news that striker R. Stevenson playing in goal tonight, no blame will be attached to him should we not pick up any points but even more pressure on our leaky defende, non existent midfield & stunning strikers banging the goals in. We're going to do a Brazil!.. Doesn't matter how many Ayr score, we're going to score at least 1 more.
We should just play rush goalie!.. Farsical!...
With all 3 Gk's injured & the club now making a statement, we now have to bring someone in from now until Wednesday 8th vs St Mirren at home (1week to find a Gk) as we can't rely on outfield players in goal to keep us from falling further from 6th & 7th place, we can't allow Ayr & St Mirren to close that gap & drag us right in, especially when we're waiting on scans & no timescale on recovery.
Hat of to the Cat for volunteering to play with his injury, great attitude.
It's a little embarrassing for us as a club that we couldn't find either an unattached Gk or a under 21gk in Scotland in any division to help us out but the SPFL should also be embarrassed!... |

No blame at all with SPFL. We have had weeks to bring in a replacement. It's entirely our own fault.
An utterly shambolic situation. |
