The link given is totally distorting the view of posts so folks just look up Tommy Trinder on Google. Admin

IIRC Tommy Trinder of ITMA fame from World War II radio was also chairman of Fulham for some time around the time when their centre forward the late 'Chinny' Hill was the PFA Chairman battling for the lifting of the £20 maximum wage.
Wore a trilby and looked like a wide boy or spiv not unlike a young George Cole in the St Trinians films.
Imagine admitting to knowledge and memory of that. Sad Rolling Eyes

They couldn't have timed it worse after the weekend performance. They should be going all out to try and attract the community to fill the stadium, but instead go all out to put people off. Even the flyers have moved forward so you can buy tickets online. Having to collect tickets at the stadium where it's a hit or a miss if you speak to a competent or welcoming staff member. We will do well to sell 1800 tickets for the home end which is a shame. Not that long ago we would be looking at 6000 for this game. 20 quid a ticket means under 5000 probably. Sad times.

I just don't understand the mentality of RRFC. The club likes using the phrase "be part of it" but be part of what exactly? A club that has already pissed off a lot of people who now have to queue at the office window to buy child/concession tickets before having to queue again at a turnstile. Now we have adults hoping to take kids to the Dunfermline match facing a ridiculous price hike. Throw in how difficult it can be to get to Starks Park to buy tickets (if like me you work office hours) it's very difficult to feel you want to "be part of it".

The first big derby for years means it was inevitable that it would be all ticket. If we can get our league campaign of to a flyer no reason why we can`t get a capacity or near capacity gate.

IIRC the club has stepped in to stop taking the piss as you put it by people falsely claiming discounted tickets for years, if these people had been honest there would have been more money in the coffers and fans wouldn't have to have subsidised them.

Hold on guys. It doesnt actually state the game is all ticket, does it. Its simply asking you to buy a ticket which i assume is to save time and to stop any delay to KO time. But the price oh dear!!!!!

I can't see Rovers shifting 4500 home tickets at 20 quid a pop but I hope you are right Barney. I have no problem with the game being all ticket, as I understand its a police decision, but just sell the tickets online and preferably cheaper or normal price.

What would be classed as normal price though? as we haven't announced our gate prices, the only club in the Championship not to do so!

True but when you take ST holders and concessions out of the equation that might only leave a couple of thousand that would need to pay the full £20 and as they will mostly be the type of supporters who only go to a handful of games per season they are unlikely to be put off by the higher than normal price.
