Owen Coyle could be a good shout for the Rovers - if he's free.
That news link about Davie Kirkwood prefering to stay at Brora was a bit worrying though . He's not the only one. The new man would obvioulsly have to WANT to come to Starks. Some apparantly just do not - for whatever reason. |

I wouldn't say Kirkwood now wanting to come is worrying..... Probably on a decent pay up there. Would you unsettle your family and move for a raith rovers management post ??? _________________ Through thick and thin, good and bad. (Even the Iain Munro times). Forever a rover. |

It's gonna be another tough league next year , Raith job could be a risk too much for a good manager IMHO
I would really like a classy midfield player brought in for a decent wage and Malpas to manage _________________ Reid,Hyslop and Gray .......... |

With the experience Derek Adams has gained during his time out the game I would like to see either him, or as previously mentioned, Craig Brewster as coach to Maurice Malpas.
From Derek's comments last week, “I would like to go to a football club where they’re maybe struggling, they’ve lost their way and it’s about putting a structure in place that will help them get promoted."
I would take from that he is pushing for the Scumfermline job...... _________________ Remember 6-0 townie scum |

I would much prefer if adams jumped on the bus from dingwall and headed to townieland rather than coming to us.Big brewster would be a good shout tho. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Brewster was a decent player but he's no manager. There are better options out there. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Agreed AU, as would ICT and Dundee Utd fans. Great coach though who would certainly get the squad fit and tactically aware of their duties. Cup winning team mate of Malpas's who with a more high profile media friendly job title would take all the stress form the press and the fans away from his corner. _________________ Remember 6-0 townie scum |

As Nicholl did with Mickey, we may even see similar with Brewster.
“But it was when I went to Raith Rovers that everything changed. I met Jimmy Nicholl, and was so impressed by the professionalism with which he approached every aspect of the game.
“In hindsight, I hadn’t really had that kind of role model before in my career.
Happy in his work, Brewster nevertheless keeps his himself on stand-by for a return to a more prominent position in the game – north or south of the border.
“So we are where we are. As I said, I love with working with the kids at Brighton, but I am still ambitious and the future might hold a few surprises yet.”
his later spell as manager at Tannadice was dogged by opposition to his insistence on fitness being a priority, modern thinking has proved him to be a man ahead of his time. (Danny Stewart Feb '15) _________________ Remember 6-0 townie scum |

based on what ? His record at Inverness both times was fairly decent, especially first time around. His time and United was a disaster, but even the best of managers have had bad apointments in their careers...sometimes its just the wrong club at the wrong time.
Are you intimate with his managerial attributes to say he is not a manager ?
I would not be unhappy with his appointment at all - focus on fitness, technique and youth... sounds better than what we have today to be honest. I'd be happy with anyone who could bring that to our club and have us playing fast, free flowing football and bringing our own players through the system into the first team. That is what a club like ours should be about. |

From what I recall he struggled badly in his second spell at Inverness. So basically he had one good run at Inverness the first time round, which was probably more due to him still playing regularly at that time.
He has spent the last couple of seasons as assistant manager for a team in England called Whitehawk and time at Crawley before that so he is out of touch with the game up here as well.
There is nothing that suggests he would do anything for us. We need to move away from the ex player route and bring in someone who has no connection with us at all. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Do Whitehawk have any fans or even a ground?
In my opinion, Brewster would be a much bigger risk than most of the other names being mentioned. Has he even applied or suggested he is interested? |

Brewster is one I'd be seriously disappointed with if we appointed. There's nothing to suggest he'd be able to pull us through. As AU has mentioned, his record isn't great either.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd be hoping we're looking at someone with experience at this level (Adams, Pressley or Bollan) or at least an up and coming manager like Aitken. |
