According to BBC reporter Brian McLaughlan we just about deserved the win on a very boggy pitch. Cowden keeper with a few 'McGurnesque' moments to keep us at bay.
Hey ho! Another clean sheet. Six from six in two Festive season away games. Can't ask for much more, really. Maybe more goals 'for' on reflection. Wink
Director of Football? Hmmm. Laughing

Couldn't have argued if it had finished goalless but we probably shaded itoon possession and chances created. Our winning steak now extends over 2 years and the Murray out brigade will have to keep their seeth in check for another week.

3 vital points, a very ugly win and now a nicer cushion between us the bottom.

But it was utterly pathetic.

Well that was another fun trip to Central Dump. One league goal in 13 months from Elliot is shocking. If the stories that Baird wants away from Queen of the South are true, it has to be a no brainer we try to get him back.

The lad needs to make his mind up . If we want him back it must be a minimum 12 month contract from day of signing.

Great , 2 wins , 2 clean sheets can we build on this with next weeks game , who knows

Deserved the win but another tactically inept performance from the management "duo" in my opinion. With Fox and Moon sitting on the bench they seemed content to watch pass after pass from Martin Scott get over hit, under hit, not hit at all he had an absolute mare and how he lasted 90 mins with that bench I'll never know.

The pitch was in an awful condition and despite that I thought we tried to get forward and create down the flanks. Grant Anderson had another fine game how on earth he found himself binned is another one for Murray to mull over with the director of football.

Toothless up front we really have no goal threat whatsoever. Elliott - 13 months without a league goal says it all. Mark Stewart is a trier but lacks any killer punch in front of goal.

Frustrated today at the number of set pieces we had and failed to really create anything from any of them that I can recall.

Not all negative however - Positive for McKeown is that there is after all a worse left back in this league in Cowden's Campbell.

It was not a smash and grab just not very pretty but that's two wins without conceding a goal away from home.

Castle - there is much yet to be done to convince many that the management team have what it takes. A win next week against QOS might .... just might convince some that we have turned some kind of corner.

Plainly obvious that after losing Baird and Spence both of whom can grab goals i find it astounding that this has not been addressed! a striker has to be the priority this transfer window!

It's been thirty years since Kirkcaldy had an abundance of strikers.

I agree but instead of coal faced miners we really need a footballer who can step up and stick it in the back of the net!!

towards the end I was hoping mfor a draw because i think i woould have been disconsolate with a loss.

WEe desrved the win overall but i couldn't see where our goal would come from.

Didn't see cowden's goalie making any good saves. but I thought that McGurn's 'McGurnesque' saves earned him man o' the match.

was praying that we'd finish no worse than a draw but 'saw' seconds before our goal that it was going to happen. still relieved but at teh end of a *beep* hard game feel we certqainly deseerved 3pts

The better team won.

Build confidence on that!

It was far from a classic, but there's no doubt we deserved the 3 points, probably more on the strength of our 1st half showing rather than our 2nd.
I thought the pick of our players today was Jason Thomson who won more than his share at the back and bombed forward to support the attack at every opportunity.
Different proposition next week, but at least we're going into it with a spring in our step, rather on the back of a continued run of defeats.
