I thought I'd see who most of us would prefer to be Rovers skipper next season......
There should be A N Other option, but its not appearing. if you believe it should be someone else, specify who
A N Other option has been added. Admin. |

Providing he signs for next season, it has to be McGurn, he's been a great player for us and he fully deserves it. _________________ Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon. |

I'd he re-signs, then Dougie Hill - hopefully it would be the responsibility he needs to bring his game on and make him more consistent (or at least stay on the park more consistently). |

I hate it when a 'keeper is Captain, and Fox is just in the door.
Thomson hasn't been here long either, although I generally favour the Captain being a defender.
My first thought was that giving Dougie Hill the gig might make him take some responsibility on and stop getting sent off so often. _________________ This is the year we win the Play-offs. |

Worked so well for Davo that he acted like a clown and got stripped of the captaincy.
Id give it to Laurie, even though he is a coach. |

Ideally you'd want someone who is going to be a 1st team regular and lead by example. Can't see either of those applying to Hill. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Give it to Lewis Vaughan, that way he'll be assured he'll not be an unused sub so often next season !! The couple of sightings we did see of him showed he had great potential, so get him on the park with an armband on ! |

Well, he's now a free agent, and we've signed two central midfielders on top of already having Callachan and Vaughn.
seems unlikely at best that he'll be back. Doubt he'll get full time football elsewhere either. Could see him at one of the better 2nd div teams next year. |

Club captain should be Ellis no question, team captain ie on the pitch would probably need to give it to McGurn, he is one of the most experienced players in our team (when Murray and Ellis arent playing) and I think he has earned it |

If we were not going to keep him, I'd have thought he would have been announced same time as Malone, Hamil, etc... Anyone know if a contract is on the table for him or not, has he been offered one ? |

Maybe he wasn't freed with the others because they were waiting for replies from Moon and Fox. |

I'd have to agree with a few of you that it can't be fox or Mcgurn! Fox is just in the door and I'm not a fan of a goalie being captain! For me it's between Thomson and hill , Thomson is the most consistent player, hill plays with all heart, both lead by example tho hill is liable to be over committed and get sent off!! He's the only outfield player left that started first division when we came up the other two are on coaching staff! I'd also like to say if Laurie wasn't a coach he would be a no brainer |
