Hey everyone,

I hope you are all well, and looking forward to life back in the First Division next season - I know I am anyway!!

Anyway, seeing as this is a Fundraisers forum, I just thought you might be interested to know that I am taking part in the Bupa Great Sunderland 10K Run on July 12th - need I say where the event is taking place? The clue is in the title!! Laughing

The event is run over a 10K (6.2 miles) course which starts and finishes at the Stadium of Light - a place which, being a Sunderland fan, I am rather familiar with. The course also takes in parts of the city centre and Sunderland seaside - the latter of which offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK.

I have set up a website for anyone interested in making donations via credit/debit card - the address is www.justgiving.com/martinjhart. Don't worry - the website is 100% safe! I donated a tenner of my own money to kick off the fundraising so I know for sure how safe the thing is!!

As my place was given to me free of charge by the SAFC Foundation(the official charity of Sunderland FC), I am obligated to raise at least £100 for the charity - by donating via the website your money goes straight to the SAFC Foundation.
I am also taking cash donations via paper sponsorship forms from friends, family and work colleagues closer to home - half of which will be split between the SAFC Foundation and another charity very close to my heart, Cancer Research UK.

Anyone wishing to make a donation feel free to pop over to the website and pledge a few of your hard-earned pennies to help a passionate Rovers fan raise money for a good cause and an event which, over time, will undoubtedly grow in popularity. If you could also indicate in the donation notes that you are a Rovers fan - just so that I don't get random strangers giving their money for no reason... not that I would complain about that of course!!

Any questons feel free to PM me or post them here and I will do my best to answer them.

Many thanks,

Martin Hart.
