Stumbled across this on YouTube and I'm absolutely gripped by it
It starts with the 1975 European Cup Final defeat in Paris - I knew it was controversial, but didn't realise just how bad the officiating was.

For anyone looking for a bit of real football nostalgia (the good, bad and ugly), with packed terraces, dodgy fashion, football special trains and maverick players, I'd highly recommend it.

It's fair to say that a visit from the Manchester clubs to Elland Road was something of an occasion and the War of the Roses never quite came to an end.

You can also watch it on lufcfilms.com

Don Revie had connections to the Rovers in that he was married to the niece of our former player John Duncan. He was Revie' first manager at Leicester City where his playing career started. Johnny Duncan was transferred from the Rovers to Leicester coming on nearly a hundred years ago in the 1920's.
Don Revie used to do pre season training with the Rovers alongside the Andys ( Young and Leigh) McNaught and the others of that era for a number of years, when he was in Fife on holiday visiting his in-laws.
The Revies retired to live in Kinross. Don was seen taking in a game very occasionally at Stark's Park when first retired.
