Welcome to RRFC - maybe our midfield is not as near to recovery as we had hoped _________________ Here Wee go again |

You could be right Willie. It will certainly add to the IM team selection headache when the walking wounded eventually come back. |

The fact he is signed for the season, I would tend to agree. |

I hope that Shaun is a great success.
Just a pity that he seems to be coming in because Ross Matthews injury woes are not at an end. |

Welcome Shaun! A good experienced player that should help this team along nicely especially given the injuries we have. Let hope he stays fit and and can get amongst the goals. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

Not scored a competitive goal for around 5 years so I doubt goal scoring is high up on his remit….guess he is due one or two though! |

Had a look through Dundee's fixtures in the league Cup and Byrne was only involved in their first game, an unused sub. So he should be available for our game(s). |

Looks like he was a named, but unused, sub for the first three matches…but the result is the same. |

Can't help but feel some of this ^^^^^
However for the rovers to do well, then sentiment has to be moved to the back burner.
The best 11 must be what we see take the field each week if we want to see the club prosper. If this means bit part roles for Rossco and perhaps Lewie then maybe that's what we will have to face.
Virtually every Rovers fan will have a soft spot for these guys as their are each "one of our own" but the manager has to put out his best team. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 16, Easton 11, Hamilton 9, Smith 7, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Can't help having attachment to Rossco and LV, Scotty. Almost all long-standing Rovers fans do. IM is in a different position entirely. His job is to build a winning team or he gets the sack. No sentimentality there.
I think it was about three weeks ago that I posted that I sensed a changing of the guard, and was referring to those two players ( allied to the departure of Jamma also). That doesn't mean that I won't get a special buzz when I see Rossco and/ or LV take the field whether at the start or as subs and want them to do what they do. Don't write them off just yet ! |

Today is the Auld New Year and Ne'erday, new or auld, is a day for looking ahead positively into the coming year.
Great news for the start of another year- old style 😀
Just need a PCA to round things off🤞 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Pre Contract Agreement. So he then signs for us after the contract to the end of the season finishes. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Of course, a PCA isn’t binding…just saying. |
