Signed players
Keepers:
McNeil, Thomson,

Backs:
Millen

Mids:
Brown, Easton, Arnott, Matthews, Ross, Stanton

Forwards:
Gullan, Vaughan,

The way I see it the new owners and IM's priorities should be:

Deal in:
McDonald,
Dick, Nolan, Lang, Masson,
McGill
Connolly, Mitchell

Keeper wise Jamma is a no brainer, but if her decides to play elsewhere we need another keeper.

Defence wise personally I'd patch Dick but he is a good utility defender and we cant make too many changes.
Nolan can be a bomb scare occasionally, positionally poor and is beaten in the air far too often but he's young and may get better, the question is do we have the time to spare and the money to have him as back-up? Which takes us on to Masson and Young. Masson is a prospect but need to fill out, so for that reason I'd rather keep him for back up and patch Nolan, bringing in another better centre half.
Same story with Young, I'd rather we had him making mistakes and getting better than Ngwenya.
Re-signing Tom Lang is another no brainer, sadly I think he'll go elsewhere.
Signing another BIG centre half is a must, hopefully two another guy who can fill in at fullback if required (if only Adam Masson was ready for this step up).
Lewis Martin is rumoured to be coming if the Kelty boys come in, mightn't be too a bad thing, but I wish we could do better.

Midfield.
With six midfielders already/still signed we are fairly well covered but I wouldn't be against signing Scott McGill, can play several roles and isn't the worse loan signing this season. Re-signing McBride would be ok too but money could perhaps be better spent elsewhere.
Spencer is a great player but he's a bit injury prone (probably no more than any other Raith player) and he seems to have lost his focus this season, maybe it's time for Brad to move on?
Another rumour doing the rounds id Jamie Barjonas will be coming back, does well in a struggling Kelty side in L1 but then so did Dylan Easton, sorry but no thanks.

Up top.
Vaughan and Gullan. Ok we definitely need a few! Deal in Kieran Mitchell and then get out and find at least two REAL centre Forwards.
As usual the rumour mill has been churning and the likes of Airdrie's Gallacher and Agyman of Kelty (both out of contract in May)both getting mentioned as possible targets. Ok, unless there is sufficient funds maybe take a punt on one or the other but we desperately need another more solid option.

Much will depend on who buys into the club and how much the playing budget will be hit by debt and loss of prize money.
Sim is on record saying how he wants young hungry (cheap) players, sorry John you can't get by with that attitude. One look at our bench in recent weeks shows exactly he should stick to accountancy and not football. Yesterdays bench at Cappielow had a Goalkeeper, McBride 22, Young 19, Masson 18. Very little options for the manager, not much experience there to shore things up and even less to change things.

Thomson is out of contract.

Nolan is young, has good potential and is capable of playing weekly already, keep. Masson can backup RB (and possibly LB) and CB, keep. Dick is useful LB/CB, but may be expensive and at the top of his range…keep,if better isn’t available. Lewis Martin might well be a planned cheaper replacement for Lang, but we’d still need one more defender.

Absolutely keep McGill, if not too expensive, a cheaper replacement for Spencer. Consider a DM to partner Brown unless IM sees Matthews as the answer.

Offense…we’re offensive, needs a retool.

The back line really needs binned or we'll have the same problems next season, maybe keep one of Lang or Nolan paired with an experienced CB, and a good RB, and definitely require 2 front men

Surely an experienced LB, rather than RB?

Having never said anything stupid myself… Shocked

I’m interested in what IM chooses to do with Arnott, Masson, Mitchell and Young. IMHO, Mitchell could use another loan spell at League One/Two level next fall…Masson would be a good utility backup for CB/RB, but needs playing time, hopefully a loan next fall to League One/Two…Young is a risk, but might be ready and allow us to let Dick either convert to CB or leave, depends what we can find to sign at CB…Arnott is an enigma. Arnott looked good for us, but hasn’t pushed on while out on loan…did we pick the wrong loan club, or has something happened? I’d like to see him, like the other three, get some serious time in the preseason mix…then we can decide to either move Arnott somewhere to defray the cost next season or play him.

I’d like to see us make a move for Gallagher at Airdrie. Top goal scorer in League 1 and presumably worked with Murray previously.

Like Grant Savoury too but maybe out of our price range.

I think the players we still have under contract are our best players but many are injury risks (more the McGlynn era lads) and they are apparently costing a bomb too. Maybe 1/2 move on regardless?

By the sounds of it we are looking at a younger player so I really hope we look at our own younger players first. It was a mistake to put so many out on loan but maybe now they are ready to do a job from the bench at least. Arnot and Mitchell should be pushing for places now, really hope we keep them.

I'm sure Arnott got MoM on Saturday and hes here till end of next season, I'd keep the rest of the young guys on if they wish to re-sign apart from Mahaday who I dont think ever got any game time, as they've proved quite capable in the games they've played,
Whatever happens its all going to come down to who Murray wants, who wishes to stay, and more importantly what happens with the goings on behind the scenes (that I await in anticipation to hear)

Gallagher would be nice, but there is talk of Forest Green and a couple of English League Two teams interested in Savoury…so I’d bet he’s well above our pay grade.

He did indeed get MotM, I just checked, which is nice because he wasn’t starting the last few weeks, just coming on as a 60th minute sub. I rate Arnott, so I’d love to see him push into the first team. Masson could play now, but really needs the seasoning, and Mitchell isn’t on fire at Bonnyrigg, but he’s not got a lot of help either. Young I think could also play, but that’s a risk too.

We never got him out on loan to get playing time, we kept him as insurance but seldom played him, when we did play him it showcased him, he’s on a Modern Apprentice contract and the last set of MA’s were given full time contract well before they’re MA contracts expired. I disappointed if we lose him, but I can’t blame him…he actually commented about wanting to have been out on loan and has decided to shop himself, that sucks for us, but we did it to ourselves.

As I commented on the Partick match thread,it looks as if Jamma is one of the guys leaving. I'm sorry that's happening but take the opportunity to replace him with a tall, physically imposing keeper who will command his box and be one element in reducing our horrendous dead ball defending .
Pretty certain that Brad Spencer will be gone too and Aiden Connolly as well, unless we push the boat out to retain him.
Defensively IM will be looking for an experienced CB. We should not forget that IM thought that he had one in Berra.
Not sure why so many on the other channel think Tom Lang will move on ,but if he does then I'd not be against offering Ryan Nolan another year, because he didn't have much senior experience when he joined us but is improving in general ( although, like the rest needs a dead ball reset) and suffered unfairly by simply not being O' Riordan. He needs to bulk up, though.
I'm conflicted on Liam Dick. He's not outstanding but a useful utility player for a small squad.
New strikers needed is a given.
We should have news of those not being offered new contracts and those who have decided to move on, within the week.
