Does SPFL mean ALL of the 4 leagues OR does it refer to just the Scottish PREMIER FOOTBALL LEAGUE.
I take it that it is all four leagues but my better half says they just talking about Scottish premier league football.
SPFL COULD MEAN EITHER.
IE. Are those that want to gonna be able to buy ppv as many have done the season.?
HELP🥺
Is it premier OR professional?
A 180 mile round trip to san Stark’s is a non starter for us. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

My reading of it is that it is just the top league.
Does/did Sky ever have coverage of the lower leagues? It's never been something I've ever subscribed to as I refuse to add to the Rupert Murdoch family 'slush fund'. Quite happy to do without on this one, thank you.😊 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

You are probably correct. And if that is the case, would it not still be possible for the other leagues to carry on next season transmitting matches PPV as they are atm.
I would rather, and have on many occasions, travelled to matches closer to north ayrshire before lockdown. However, I would love to be able to watch them on the telly.
Season tickets for home ppv and one off payments for away PPV matches.
I woulda thought that this season clubs have appreciated the revenue.
There is a small risk that some might stop going to the san stark on a Saturday and watch the footy at home.
Gotta be trialled though surely.....if possible.? _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

My reading of 2nd paragraph suggests its all clubs and not just Premier
“As was the case this season, all SPFL clubs will be allowed to make available ‘season passes’ of their home matches, to season ticket holders, through online club channels. In addition, all clubs will be allowed to sell any home game not broadcast live by Sky, on a pay-per-view basis next season.” _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

I agree with you.
It is however all down to some idiot that came up with an acronym that could be read TWO ways.
Not the first time I have been confused.......tends to happen more frequently with the passage of time.🙄.
I am aware of copyright rules etc, but, the fact remains there are very likely many many fans who simply cannot afford the money or time associated with large mileage journeys.
I wonder if anyone on here has a connection to the club that could clarify? _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Had a look again and I'm now more inclined to agree with Vinnie.

Try media@raithrovers.net
Address question to Niall (Russell).
That's from the 'contact us' list on the official site.😉
I'm sure Niall will respond in due course. ... unless he reads this and posts the information himself.😊 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

It does state all SPFL teams but I'm sure it should read only the top flight teams from the SPFL membership.
It will be cleared up in due course. |

I disagree that this is limited to Premiership teams. Read the paragraphs below (highlight mine):
“SPFL Premiership clubs will be able to broadcast all 228 matches to season ticket holders after a major new deal was struck between the league and broadcaster Sky Sports for next season.
As was the case this season, all SPFL clubs will be allowed to make available ‘season passes’ of their home matches, to season ticket holders, through online club channels. In addition, all clubs will be allowed to sell any home game not broadcast live by Sky, on a pay-per-view basis next season.
With discussions still ongoing between football authorities and the Scottish Government to allow supporters to attend matches in person, the new deal for season 2021/22 season gives certainty to fans and clubs alike on the ability to watch games live on TV.”
The reference in Paragraph one is clearly the Premiership teams (228/12=19, or the normal total of home games in the Premiership). In Paragraph 2 the reference is ALL clubs, like this year. |

Spoke to our contact at the SPFL earlier who confirmed it will be all clubs, as is the case at the moment, until full crowds return. The statement was worded like that as its the Premiership mainly affected by the Sky partnership obviously.
He added that “You may well be a Prem club next season anyway though!” 🤣 _________________ Niall Russell

Thanks Niall for the information.
That should assuage Cuparman's concerns and others as well. Just got to hope that we get folk in through the gates despite the huge dedicated input Raith TV and others have provided to us all this past season. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

VERY pleased.
Thank you for clearing it up.
All I would now ask is........
Can someone please SMACK the dipstick/s responsible for using the same acronym for the two bodies.
I mean, how many articles/letters etc must those two bodies produce.
Ain’t life hard enough🙄🙄 _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |
