Dumbarton midfielder Scott Agnew Dmbarton has scored 5 goals this season ALL of them against us!
He scored both goals in Dumbartons 2-1 victory against us in November, it would be worth signing just to stop him scoring goals against us!
But for his contributions we'd have taken all 12 points against Dumbarton this season.
Ryan McCord at Alloa is a similar type of player (both wear the No 8) and is as industrious as Agnew but hasn't any goals this year.
Are any of these the type of guys that should be on our radar? _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1,

Can we take it that will also be your view on our Mr McGurn too?

Same can be said about Paul Harvey.
We shelled out something in the region of £220,000 and look how that panned out. |

Iain Munro preferred a series of Scandinavians to Harvey and Jimmy Nic fell out with him and refused to play him (thus only 33 appearances in 3 seasons). Billy Davis took him to Motherwell and played him in the SPL while we were beating a path towards bankruptcy.
Harvey was indeed an expensive failure for us but it might not all have his fault.
I often wonder what might have happened if Jimmy Thompson had been given more than 4 games at the start of our last season in the SPL, it really couldn't have turned out any worse than it eventually did. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

The fact is that Rovers either sign part-time players from smaller clubs with a view to developing and improving them (eg McCord) or we sign players who have been released by bigger clubs (eg Conroy).
McCord was at Dundee United as a youngster and didn't quite make it there, but Hartley obviously saw enough in him to take him to Alloa and develop him into a decent Championship level midfielder. _________________ Dougie Hill

Seems McCord was the answer after all. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |
