Local crime writer Val McDermid will be the star attraction at the first ever Raith Rover's Burns Supper in January. The event which is being organised by the Raith Supporters Trust will be held on Saturday 24th January in the Beveridge Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy. Val will be joining Raith Rovers fans an a number of other special guests at the event which is guaranteed to be an entertaining evening.
Supporters Trust Chairman Alan Russell said "We are really looking forward to the Burns Supper and are delighted that Val has agreed to be our guest of honour. We are hoping to have a few other well known Rover's faces along and there will be some great prizes in our raffle and some special Rovers' memorabillia up for auction. It should be a great night." The evening will include a traditional three course Burns supper and tickets are priced at a very reasonable £25 per person or £200 for a table of ten. There will also be a £5 discount on tickets for all Raith Supporters Trust members. Tickets are available online from http://raithtrust.brownpapertickets.com, and fans will also be able to snap up tickets from the Trust Table in the South Stand at the Hibernian game on Saturday. _________________ Follow the Trust on facebook and twitter |

I think Vins point was if it was held at SP the bar takings would go to RRFC unlike if it was held at someone elses venue.
I would have gone but It's in the middle of my offshore weeks. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1,

Think the Trust are hoping for 120 maybes 150 people. A lot more than the clubs hospitality room. |

Raith Rovers legends Frank Connor and Jock McStay will be joining Val McDermid as guests of honour at the Trust Burns Supper and will be doing a Q&A with the equally legendary Ally Gourlay. Definitely an evening not to be missed now! _________________ Join the Raith Trust at www.raithtrust.org.uk |

It's taken me all night to finally realise that it's a photo of a haggis on the OS, prior to this it looked quite unsavoury. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Update - ticket sales are going well with 116 already sold.
34 tickets remaining!
Get your ticket now to avoid the disappointment of missing Val McDermott and the question and answer session with Ally Gourlay, Frank Connor and Davy Sinclair. |
