Looking to get patio doors installed and wonder if anyone would recommend any companies or has horror stories of companies to stay well clear of?
Would consider the company installing them or putting them in myself.
Thanks for any info! _________________ 'Dailly, has he scored? Brewster has!' |

It will depend upon what type you want, UPVC or timber.
We have John Carrs, Leadbury patio doors and they are quality, look good, feel good and they go with the rest of the house i.e., timber framed windows and doors.
Just noticed the company was bought over by Jeld-Wen UK an American group based in Oregon, they know their timber as well. |

Can't agree with you there Red, if I were putting in new widows I'd want ones that open when you want not just in Jan, June, July and Aug _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

You should try that Irish double glazing salesman Paddy O'Doors _________________ When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me. |

A bit more on the pricey side but ADW Limited are very very good. www.adwlimited.co.uk is their site. I can personally vouch (is that the right word?!) for their quality. |

My mate had new doors, windows and patio doors from Advance, who advertise in all the press, he had them fitted in Aug \ Sept time still waiting to get the patio doors fixed so he can get his sons wheelchair through them!
We got new doors from Sidey a couple of years ago, excellent & you get a 10 year guarantee _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

It's a fairly obvious one but I'd recommend CR Smith. Not the cheapest but we had one put in last year and it's excellent quality.
I think the differences that some people overlook is how they finish inside. CR Smith are very good on this front IMO. |
