Only way I know to get out of it for free is for them to shift the goalposts without telling you. Basically if they change the rules and don't tell you (maybe even if they do tell you, not 100% sure now I think about it).
Only other way is to wait until it expires or pay the remaining balance on the minimum term of the contract. |

You could always fake ur own death? Failing that, complain that u cant get a signal anywhere, they will prob send out a replacement handset once or twice but if you keep telling them that u still can't get one, they will be happy to let you leave for free. Orange were with me anyway. |

The easiest and cheapest way would be to buy your contract out. I recently terminated a contract with vodafone early (free of charge) as the screwed me around right royally... but I had a huge fight to get that.
You can always phone them up and explain your circumstances - if you have been made unemployed etc. they may reduce the amount required to buy out the contract. |
